I've been thinking that there's a lot of talent on this team, but the motivation and discipline are lacking. I feel that falls squarely on our coaches shoulders. I think there is an underlying feeling of mistrust on the team, like they don't BELIEVE Tony Sparano can lead them to the promised land. He just doesn't give off that feeling. Everyday I feel he looks more and more like Dave Wannstedt (who's helping the bills win right now, btw)

ANYWAY, that being said, which coach do you think would be able to better motivate our current set of players (without say, purging our entire team and starting over) with their coaching style? Jon Gruden or Bill Cowher.

Both are passionate and very vocal coaches. But Gruden is a bit more laid back I feel, more willing to have a laugh and light a fire under some ***** when need be. But Cowher brings that expectation of hard hitting, no nonsense, smash mouth power. He'd intimidate you before he'd be your friend. However he also seems to be someone whose players would run through walls for.

So which one do you think could get the most out of our current QB, WR, RB and DBs/LBs?

These guys are lightyears better coaches than Sparano and I would welcome both with open arms, but I believe Cowher is the better leader and motivator.

I agree. I'd also like to make this point. Both Gruden and Cowher have spent the last few years analyzing game film on every single team. Their job is to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of all nfl players and teams. So they bring a very solid understanding of opponents just from their continued gameday studying.

I doubt they could even motivate themselves to coach. They both have Super Bowls rings and now make tons of money by talking about football a few hours a week.

i think both of these coaches could get a lot more out of the players than tony..
though if i had my choice id say cowher That grin is irreplaceable
Gruden comes in a close second with that red face chucky look
Though chucky might rub some of the players the wrong way
i think Cowher would command respect from most everyone and keep it that way..

I feel like if we go after Gruden he will keep the D in place with a few minor tweaks here and there and Nolan will remain...and if we go after cowher then both coordinators go on...I like Gruden

Gruden wants to get back to coaching soon. He almost took the University of Miami job this offseason. In 2012 Gruden is back in the NFL, and I would love him as the coach down here.

Im not gonna lie,Im with you,I want Chucky !!!!!!!!!! lol I just love Grudens hard nosed style, but I think he is willing to mix it up a little more than Cowher as far as throwing the ball around a little bit.

We hear that every year. Half the NFL has openings or potential openings since he was fired by the Bucs. If he wanted the Dolphins job, he could have had it last year.

I agree partly. The Dolphins were never "on the table" though. Teams who've needed a head coach typically need to be rebuilt from the ground up, an arduous task especially in this day in age, and one that I could see cowher or gruden passing up. But when the team is already established but needs focus, drive and intensity to increase, with the talent already there, I think that's a situation they'd gladly step back into and retake the reigns.

Gruden wants to coach again. Cowher may be comfortable with his cushy job.

Between those two I'd rather have Cowher. Gruden will tear us down completely to get his style in here.

I love both guys but both have a ring and a cushy job. I don't want another repeat of JJ who quickly realized striking gold a second time is not that easy. If you pursuit the big three I would much rather have Fischer who has not yet experienced a Super Bowl victory.

If not Fischer then find a young up and coming guy like Chudzinski or Ryan.
