But yeah, Gruden did enough putting his stamp on the Bucs that season too.

Not only is Cowher the better coach and motivator, he can better attract free-agents to Miami.

I can't understand why Gruden is so close in votes to Cowher, especially considering how players came out of the woodwork condemning him after his TB firing and Simeon Rice called him a "scumbag."
Admittedly this is a negative article from a Colts blogger (Link Here) but he does debunk the lustre around Gruden's playoff records, destroys his image as a great offensive talent evaluator (hell I could have done that pointing only to keeping an already journeyman Brian Griese and drafting Cadillac Williams instead of Aaron Rodgers @#5), and argues how he's still largely trading off Dungy's residual fumes.
Now has he learned anything, gained humility and improved his interpersonal skills while sitting on the shelf? Probably, cause he's a pretty bright guy. Would he be an upgrade from Sparano? Probably but there's no lock since he's not inheriting the kind of full cupboard Dungy left him with. IMO, whether we can get Cowher or not, it's like comparing sirloin to Chuck(ie) Roast.

Bring on "The Stare" Cowher. Let him right this ship once and for all.
This is great and all, comparing potential coaches, but Cowher probably will not come here. He wasn't interested last year, so I doubt he is interested now, considering how Ross hung Sparano out to dry while courting another coach. I don't think he comes here at all, and we shouldn't be considering, but that's just me...
