LET THIS POST DIE. IT IS NOT WORKING AS I INTENDED. Apperently I have confused the the masses

List who you think has a good possibility to get traded assuming there are no season/career ending injuries, remember to make the offer reasonable. Put some thought into it. I would like to see some reasonable trade possibilities.
Position :: Name :: Compensation :: Thoughts
QB ::
Joey Harrington ::
4th Rnd pick ::
Aquired by the phins for a 6th (conditional 5th).
I beleive that Cleo Lemon has shown great progress and has learned the playbook more than JH. It should be mentioned that Marty DID NOT want to see Cleo go. I see JH getting traded this off season for an improved pick by someone such as the Raiders.

I have others, but I will see what everyone else comes up with.

This season, or next season?

I wouldn't trade our backup QB when we are playoff calibre team this year, and his value for next year depends on this year.

In the off-season of '07

:(
The post is meant to generate some good conversation and some interesting views on personnel management. I realize that we would trade ANYONE including JT for say 2 1st round picks and a 2nd...
I guess we are just too focused on the now for this to be a good thread, I will let it die.

Haha its not a bad thread

In specific in the offseason I could see either Harrington or Lemon going for a pick, and same with Booker possibly. Zgonina could be traded this year.

Jeff Zgonina will probably be traded tomorrow. Other than that I really don't see any other real possibilities right now.

why on earth would we trade joey there was another thread on trading him that is a ridiculous idea. i cant really se anyone offering a fourth or above round pick for him anyway and plus we need him. i would feel much much more comfortable if cpep goes down having joey in there than unproven cleo crummy lemon i dont care how well he played in the one final preseason game if he starts for us we would be in deep trouble

Let me clarify. This would be after this season.
Do you think that Joey is going to win the starting job here?
Do you think that he doesn't want to be a starting QB?

Yes I like Joey, but the fact is, some QBs become good after a few years of being an understudy.... ie, Steve Young, and Tom Brady. Warren Moon started in the CFL. Not everyone is thrown into the starting position and excel.

Give me a break here and contribute to the thread. I think Miami has alot of good players that we could turn into picks and make our team younger next year. It is an intellectual discussion, nothing more, nothing less. Follow the guidlines and have fun with it.

I would trade anybody on the team if the deal was good enough and so would Nick Saban.

Cleo has never started an NFL game. There's no way we would trade Harrington and go with such an inexperienced backup.

I think this thread has merit. Saban himself has spoken on this subject so there is some guidance. He said that no position could create such high value for so few snaps and that he would carry four if he could find four worthy ones. Looks to me like we have three pretty good ones and the d-line got the extra spot...so far. Saban even mentioned that sometimes things happen and a qb could be very valuable in October. Right now in the NFL even a decent qb is hard to come by.

I wouldn't trade Cleo for less than a fourth this year and Joey not at all. By seasons end, if Joey continues to progress, his value as a "starter" could increase and stellar play if he has to step in could cause it to soar...nothing less than a second if that happens. Actually, I am thinking Joey should stay two years before we offer him for trade and the increased value could make it a win win. Also, he will have a couple of legitimate shots at the Superbowl, especially next year, to help keep him still, as opposed to him "wanting" a trade to start.

Speilman is still out there.
