If the offense played against the defense, who do you think would control who? Would the O scored fairly consistantly or would the D shut them down?
I personally think the D would be the more dominant force.

Hopefully it would be a hard fought scrimmage with big plays on both sides.. with neither really dominating the other

Well just about every training camp that I can remember (and I have been following the team for a long time), is the defense plays better early. That is because the offensive line takes more time to gel.. And because defenses are easier to implement earlier as they don't have as big a playbook as the offense does.

And then there's the timing issue. The offense requires a lot of timing.. And that timing takes awhile to get up to speed with everyone on offense.

The Dolphins front 7 have been around for a year now. No one is really new except for guys who will be rotating in like Taylor, Wake and McDaniel etc.. So the defense will naturally be way ahead of the offense because you have new guys on the offensive line (Jake Grove, and Donald Thomas didn't play in 15 games last year so he has a lot of work to do there)..

Plus all the new skill position players on offense have to develop their timing in this offense.. Transferring the playbook onto the field, and working with the players they will be playing with. It will take awhile for the offense to get up to speed with the defense imo.

Sure the secondary will have to work things out.. But having a front 7 intact is pretty big for the defense. They will be ahead of the offense.. And really there is only one position in the secondary that needs addressing for a starter position.. Gibril Wilson played in this defense with the Giants so he has experience in quarters coverage.. And he's very smart.. Yeremiah Bell and Will Allen are back so 3 of the 4 secondary spots are solidified..

Where they will need some work though is the nickel and dime packages with the new faces there.

That is usually the case, and I'm hoping our D stars well ahead of our O.. if our O is keeping up with them early on, that may scare me about our D.. I'm hoping our D starts off like the D's under Wanstedt..if they're playing that kind of D, with this O, this O can learn a lot and get better fast..

I think Chad would pick apart the D like he does to most teams.
Especially since I dont think the pass rush would get to him with out tackles being very strong and since Crowder never gets anywhere with his inside blitzs
