I said it before Chad P. is not gonna do any good here. I see alot of people saying he did really good. lol Yeah right lol Here's all of his plays today vs the jets. 16 incomplete passes and 24 short pass wont win games. No wonder his completion percentage is so good they are all short passes lol It looked like the offense was just dull. Chad cant throw deep passes, alot of runs getting stuffed because everyone is in the box, and a bunch of dump offs.

Pennington is Pennington. He is the best option for the Dolphins right now. He phyiscally limited, but you need him during your rebuilding period.
He had very little running game and not the best receivers to work with, not to mention an O'line that is brand new.
 
2 tds no ints, whens the last time you saw this out of a Fins QB... Penaltys and a young OL lost the game. Not Pennington.

Exactly... You have to feel good about no INT's... While he is no Marino, he will give us the best option till Henne comes along. That will be difficult until we get a physical and good WR.

Well he DID have 1 INT but it was the last play for us.
 
He threw for 250 yds without having a legitimate WR to throw to, what more do you want. Stop drinking the Jet fan coolaid. The guy doesnt have a great arm but he made all the throws today, give him more protection and a better WR and we win this game.
 
Yeah i know he did have an int but he HAD to throw the ball no matter what...
 
Get use to the dink and dunk offense you'll be seeing it all year unless your like 2 and 10 and want to get Henne some time over center
 
Pennington is no superstar but if we can run the damn ball effectively then he doesnt need to be a superstar. You can win in this league with a guy that manages the game well. We had like 17 carries today thats not nearly enough. We wont win if Pennington is throwing 43 times a game.
 
i wasn't really excited about Pennington, because this is like the 5th year in a row we've started the season with another random veteran QB, but he didn't look that bad today. compared to the previous vets we've brought in, and with the way the line was playing as a whole with pass protection, he did okay. yes, he just dumps the ball off a lot, but that's better than nothing.
 
Get off his Pennington's nuts, very solid effort gutsy performance from a class act QB, can he throw down field no, but made some solid throws at key times
 
if he had any kind of a running game behind him today we would have won. he's not gonna win us games like this when he has to carry the load. He'll be solid all year if we can run the ball.

This is how he became the NFL's most accurate passer, a meanless stat.
 
Chad did good, 2td's 1int that is the most important stat. Sure he had alot of short passes, but with the pressure that he had there was no time to get the ball downfield.
