isnt it crazy, like our own owner huizenga, whoever saban targets doesnt leave. This is an impressive coach from a charisma standpoint alone, i guess he oozes out winning and professionalism and thats why ppl want to work under him. get ready guys, were about to lay a whoopin on the nfl. :dolphins:

It also doesn't hurt when you're offering a job in S. Florida and when the guys that you want, are unemployed but I see your point.

I don't get the giddiness over Capers. he was a decent DC but interestingly Pitt never made a SB until he left to go to Carolina and Jax went downhill after he took over for jauron. I think you guys were better off w/ Saban playing puppeteer w/ the other DCs.

I met him at a book signing and exchanged a few comments with him. He has a very personable and intelligent personality.

Dom Caper is responsible for Pittsburgh earning the name Blitzburgh. Pitt went ot the superbowl on his defense that was already in place. He also took Carolina to the NFC championship one year after expansion. His downfall was havng GM like powers and not being able to manage it well.

The Capers/Saban Hybrid Defense will take over :)

Me thinks Saban wants TO. :eyebrow: :1st:

HAHA, a Jets fan telling us what he thinks Saban should have done. Man, if only Saban had had your business card, he could have cunsulted you first, before hiring a loser like Capers. Oh, ps, how did Feidler work out for you guys?

It is truly awesome to have a top-notch coach!!!

And with this top-notch coach comes a top-notch coaching staff. I can't wait for the start of the 06' season!

capers is a very good DC....and he fits saban's 3-4 system

i like it alot!

Capers will be fine, at least Saban has confidence in him. Its a big difference in the responsibilties of a head coach and a DC. Now Capers will be able to devote his attention to one aspect of the game and not all of the duties of a head coach. I am sure Saban will still keep his eye on the defense as well if Capers struggles.
