I was listening to Siriusxm fantasy sports radio on my way back to work from lunch and they were talking dolphins football. They liked how Tannehill had progressed over the last 2 years, said he gets 4-5 years of leeway bc he wasn't a college qb all 4 years. Then they went on to talk about how he needs to learn to throw a better deep ball. They came to the conclusion that it is as much Wallace's fault as Tannehill. They said he was able to hit the deep ball in college and they only ever throw deep balls to Wallace, and should try hitting Landry bc he has deceiving speed.

They keep Landry short all the time. I dotn think I've seen Landry run a route beyond 15 yards. Hes a play maker with the ball in his hands. Give it to him and let him do his thing.

Another big issue here is that our O-line can sustain blocks for that long. You could clearly see last night that TH was nervous in the pocket all game. He never had a clean pocket and was constantly under duress.

This Ravens game is going to be interesting to see if we can step it up.

I think it is a mental thing with both of them currently. Additionally, they don't trust the O-line enough to even call deep patterns. If I have to blame someone, I blame them both. RT for a lack of feel on these passes and poor trajectory and Wallace for a lack of fight, leaping or diving to make a play.

Whose fault is it that Tannehill and Wallace often don't connect? I would say it is a little of BOTH. Wallace should have caught that one pass in the end zone corner that he tried to one hand. He didn't seem to give it much effort. But hopefully things get better over time.

What pisses me off about that play is that Wallace always preaches on how they need to step up to be able to compete in the playoffs. Then he lays that egg of an effort. Meh!

The fact that this is ANY nfl game, much less a CRUNCH TIME PLAYOFFS AT STAKE game and we are talking about his lack of effort.... Says it all. I sd before and will say again- the guy is a cancer to our playoff aspirations. No, we have no other options at this point, buy hopefully ownership wises up to this man's lack of (fill in the blank- it probably fits...)

Wallace has a really small catch radius. Really small.

Which pass had a higher degree of difficulty to catch? The pass from Tannehill to Wallace last night or this pass from Manning to Sanders where Sanders lays out for the ball? Consider that Wallace doesn't leave his feet, reaches out with one hand and the ball basically hits his forearm and he fails to bring it in.

Agree with all the answers above. I'll add, that the OC has to take some of the blame.

It's interesting...but as the season has progressed, I'm thinking more and more than it's about 70% Wallace/30% Tannehill.

Landry was the one missed about 30 yds downfield last night. all by himself when he threw the cross route.

It's mainly RT right now - regardless of who he's throwing to. He has the worst comp % in football after Geno and Vick on plays 20 yards+. It was bad before Wallace arrived and it's still bad. Mike had no trouble w Big Ben. RT had gotten better in many areas. The deep ball will come. But let's not pretend over throwing a guy by 10 feet who's wide open is on the receiver. Cmon man.

Like the one he overthrew right through Wallace's hands last night? Sure.
