Personally I think Henning won't be sticking around after this year. It will probably be time for him to retire, and certainly if the offense is anemic this year, I doubt he sticks around.

So who's our O-coordinator next year? Is it David Lee, mastermind of the Wildcat? Are there currently any other candidates already on the Dolphins staff? Or do we bring in someone else from around the league?

What do you think?

im not a big fan of Hennings use of our key players. He is a good manager but needs to get Ronnie and Ginn the ball more IMHO. But this team is not a home run team and he lets them play well enough everyweek

Ah totally forgot about Dorrell. Too bad I can't edit the poll.

How many sacks did Dan Henning give up Sunday?

How many interceptions did he throw?

How many times did he fumble?

How many times did he check down or throw the ball to the turf?

How many times did he overthrow an open Ted Ginn streaking down the field?

How many blocks did he whiff on that almost got Polite paralyzed?

How many times did he miss a tackle on Gonzalez?

Is this more of PenningtonHeaven's logic winning again?

You people are looking for someone to blame.....it's obvious......but you don't have the **** to put it where it belongs.....

 Dude, find another thread to post this garbage. This is supposed to be a legitimate discussion on who our offensive coordinator will be next year. It has nothing to do with our last game. There are plenty of other threads for that.

I'd give a shot to Lee. And it has nothing to do with Hennings play calling, but more to his age (I'm a fossil so I don't wanna hear it), keep him around as a mentor.

i am hoping someone else but Henning i dont think he makes very good calls but that is just my opion

Dan Henning will probably be the O coordinator as long as he wants the job. Parcell and Henning are buddy's. Henning is getting older and he may want to retire at some point.
Henning is a good O coordinator, remember last year? Sometimes he makes bad calls but all good coordinators make bad calls at times. I am Ok with Henning, our problems are along the offensive line. Our O-line position coach should be the subject of criticism and polls, not Dan Henning. Our performance at Atlanta offensively was a stinker, and we have good cause for alarm, but some people need to relax and let the coaches and team get things sorted out. It is only one game and we should not panic and start calling for heads on a platter. I expect the team will come out firing on all cylinders this week and we beat a mortal Peyton Manning & Indy colts team decisively.

Dan Henning is not the subject of this poll because of doing a good or bad job, just to make that clear (in fact I think he's doing fine). I put this poll up because like Parcells, it didn't seem like Henning would stick around for more than two years.

I agree with you. Sorry I misunderstood.
My reading comprehension is below par.

Personally, I don't think that Henning is going anywhere next year, but it is clear that he won't be around for too much longer because of his age. If I have to chose who would be his successor from our staff it would be David Lee at this point. Dorrell would work for me as well.

Although Hennings play calling seemed a bit disjointed last week I have been happier with it on the whole than I thought I was going to be.

im just curious, i know some people may say o well if u dont like the thread then dont read it etc, but why are we talking about on sept 15, after the first week of the season who is going to call our offense next year? all we do as fans is after the previous season is over we look foward to the upcoming season for 7 months, and now that season we have been looking foward to has just arrived and has many months to go. i mean if u rlly wanna go there, who says we will need someone else to call our offense. maybe our team will be just fine offensivly and we wont need to change anything. also it may not be henning rlly, it could be the players he has that the reason he runs this type of offense. if henne was qb im sure it would be a diffrent style of offense as in deep routes etc. but seriously week 2 hasnt even been played and we r discussing next year already. just lets enjoy this season and have success.

As stated for the billionth time this thread (ok, second or third), Henning wasn't projected to stick around for more than two years by many. This is because of his age, not because of how good or bad of a job he is doing.

And honestly, it was a non-Falcons game related thread. I thought it was actually an interesting subject where some discussion could be had. Clearly, I was wrong.
