Whos happy with our new coach joe philbin?

Welcome to Miami Joe Philbin. I have been very lukewarm about the coaching search and have no idea whether he will pan out, but it is a reasonable hire from a guy with experience in a style of offence that we have not seen for a very long time, and a classy guy by all accounts. So time to swallow our doubts and get behind him.

I am happy that he isnt connected to Dallas.

I am happy that he's going to bring the WCO here.

Other than that I am putting off any other feelings until I see how he forms his staff. That would be his first challenge. Can he assemble a decent staff. I am especially concerned with the defense now that Nolan has left and we have an offensive minded coach.

I just don't have a good feeling about Philbin. Not only is he going to be dealing with the loss of a child, but I don't know if he has what it takes to be head coach. I have a feeling this might be another Cam Cameron situation where he will be in over his head and out in 2 years. Looks like Matt Flynn is coming here though.

I like the hire but that itch is definitely in the back of my mind... I hope that he has the tools to overcome his loss and can deal with the weight of the job that he is about to embark on. It is definitely a plus to have that offensive minded coach to come here again...

I am VERY happy with this hire.

He knows the kind of offense we want.

Heck, high powered, NFL best offense was a Miami product for almost 20 years.......

i think i read somewhere on here stating that there is something in the new CBA that doesnt allow teams to tag and trade anymore.

I didn't realize that because I was wondering why some people were saying that the cba wouldn't allow the Packers to franchise him. If that's the case then to me it's going to be between us and Seahawks sine Seattle's GM is from GB when he was drafted and ofcourse if Philbin thinks Flynn is the real deal. To all those people that say Flynn has only played in 2 games just remember that's what the Packers were being crucified in the national media when they decided to trade away Favre in favor of Rodgers.

Can't be worse than Sporano. Dunno much about Philbin so I'll save my judgment for a few years down the road when we have either made the playoffs or remained the laughing stock of the league.
