Personally I think Mare will be cut next. Mare had a horrible season last year and missed ten FG. Wouldnt be surprise if Jay Feely replaced him. Jay Feely had a workout with us today and we could possibly sign to replace Mare. Another guy that if I was him Id personally ask to restructure my contract before they cut me is Chris Chambers. Chambers right now must be scared of getting traded. Personally I would drive him to the airport. If we can aquire a second round pick for him I would really love to see him go. So this is my pick as to who are the next two who can be cut. Who do you think is next ?

Honestly with this entire spring cleaning going on now I would love to see if they can trade Thomas/Taylor I would not mind trying to get another 2 draft picks. If we are going to rebuild might as well shake the foundation.

As evident by McMike no team is going to give up a second round pick for an overpaid underachiver like Chambers. Yes the Patsies overpaid for Welker, but at least he is hard nose player and is the prototypical Bill B player.. I'd take a 4th or a 5th for Chambers

Nope. Our D is fine. It is the offense that needs cleaning. Those two are the most valuable players on our team and HAVE EARNED their stay here. JT woudl require a high first round pick for me to even consider trading him, but even that would upset me.

Don't get me wrong I love those 2 guys and would hate to see them leave but if this management wants to clean house to rebuild I think I would be ok with them leaving. The other reason I could see them go is they have given everything to see this team win and they are players who want to win and win now (I recall a statement from JT about this fact when we got Saban as a head coach) and with the current state of the organization I think there is no doubt we are in a rebuilding mode. I would not mind giving them a chance to go win elsewhere.

Our offense averaged 16+ points per game last season. Are you kidding me? The defense was stellar (remember Chi-town) and there is no reason to suspect that we would get worse in that area. Going younger and faster should only help this defense outdo itself next season. The offense needed a change in philosophy. We can't play from behind all of the time and we shouldn't have to rely on the defense to bail the team out of tough situations. Imagine how great it would feel for the offense to get the ball and feel as if it can score at will. This team needs that type of identity and the front office is carrying out the necessary process.

theres 3 that come to mind.
1. mare- hes to expensive and has lost his long range acc. you can get an ok kicker for alot less
2. chambers- way to much money for his production, i like him but he needs to take a pay cut or this could be his last year here if he doesnt improve.
3. DC - alot of money and alot of ??????. a young qb (quinn) should be the kick out the door.

if were serious about rebuilding for the future then these 3 have to be looked at.

Defense wasn't in need of a blowup, just the putrid offense that scored amongst the fewest points per game in franchise history.

Hopefully Chris, I never show up for any meaningful game, Chambers is next.

i agree ..... i love those two guys but we could get another first and another second or third for them two

yeah lets trade zach and jason taylor to the redskins for their first round pick (#6), second this year, and first next year. they can afford their contracts plus we can get the pick to get brady quinn. nah i'm just messing around everybody. it wouldn't be a wise move if we traded these guys away. they are the heart and soul of this team and we could get nothing in return that could even come close to replacing them.

Either Mare or Chambers will be next, heck maybe even Ricky if Mueller can get a 6th for Big Daddy he can probably get a 3rd for Ricky!
