Who's quicker/faster... Ronnie Brown or Daniel Thomas?

As long as DT can get 5-10 yard chunks consistently, that's all we'll need. I would rather have a slew of 5-10 yard runs than one 20 yard run every now and then. Thomas will be great for consistent gains, while Bush will be the home run threat.

Here is a video of him against Nebraska: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOFL3FwAhpg

He seems to have decent speed, but Bush is going to make him look like he is standing still.
He looks pretty good catching a pass as well, so Checkdown Chad's zingers shouldn't be a total adventure.
I'm just hoping we aren't going to miss Ronnie's ability to run over/through people at times.

This is exactly what he looked like in practice.. 3 yards and then he's tackled...he is big but won't be running anyone over anytime soon. That cloud of smoke thing Sparano was talking about is alive and true..

ronnie used to have good wheels for his size but injuries have sapped him of it all...daniel thomas comes into the league lacking top end speed but he's got better feet and vision...but d thomas is not gonna be a guy like ronnie who always fell forward after contact...he doesn't run with the right pad level to take advantage of his size in that regard...

daniel thomas ran consistent 4.50 to 4.59 40's at 85% health (hamstring) for NFL scouts post-combine. that isn't chris johnson speed, but that is not slow for an NFL running back by any means. let's see how fast and quick he is with the pads on in live action. that will tell the tale. his 40 time is not an issue (especially if it's sub 4.50 at full health).
