Personally I'm pumped to see our moves. This is pure fantasy but I want to talk some football, I'm excited about my fins despite our mediocre season last year. Watching the Pats win again has me angry and hopeful for the Fins. What moves would you all make for the fins this year to improve us going into next season? And what are your thoughts on my plan?

Personally I would get rid of Wallace someway somehow. Use his money to acquire Suh, we really need to shore up that defensive line and Suh I think is Warren Sapp esque; he's worth every penny and he would add some fire to our team. Secondly I'd add another running back to add to our arsenal; either a Frank Gore (old, awesome and reliable) or a Mark Ingram (something to prove still) would be preferable or Peterson if we're lucky and we can get him for a reasonable price. Third, sign an offensive guard; if we are to sign then dont spend too much we need a guy with talent and with a chip on his shoulder, we've already shelfed out enough money and resources on the line and Pouncey will be wanting to get paid soon. Fourth, draft defense; Perryman or the best linebacker available in the first, if not then draft a guard. Fifth, sign a Hakeem Nicks or Reggie Wayne, just a little bandage at the receiver spot for the moment, or we can draft Reshad Greene in the 2nd round (I like the Greene idea better if we're in position to grab him).Sixth, draft me a Gerrod Holliman in the 3rd round. Not a great tackler, but who cares? We got hard hitting Reshad Jones next to him! These are my key points, I will list them below to make easier to follow along.

1.) Release Wallace
2.) Get Suh
3.) Add another RB for cheap, Gore, Ingram or Peterson preferably.
4.) Sign an OG who's talented for a fair price, maybe a Davin Joseph or Connolly?
5.) Draft:
- 1st: Perryman, he's lower on the boards but I believe he will rise. We need a leader and run-stuffer.
- 2nd: Reshad Greene, I've always thought this kid was a hoss since his days at St. Thomas Aquinas.
- 3rd: Gerrod Holliman. Ball hawk, need I say more?
- 4th: Ladarius Gunter: maybe I'm biased, I love my canes but these boys are talented! Gunter could add some depth to that CB position.
- 5th- 7th: I dont really care.

2015 Starting lineup:
Offense:
QB: Tannehill
RB: Lamar Miller, Frank Gore
WR 1: Brian Hartline
WR 2: Reshad Greene (If he doesn't show promise, then no biggie draft a receiver first next year)
Slot: Jarvis the man Landry. He will develop and rise as Tannehill's go-to.
TE: Charles Clay, lets get the man more involved, and I like what I see from Sims.
LT: Brandon Albert
LG: Dan Connolly, most likely player we can get.
C: Satele
RG: Pouncey
RT: James

Defense:
LDE: Cam Wake
DT 1: Ndamokung Suh
DT 2: Odrick
RDE: Vernon/ Dion Jordan (have to get him more snaps!)
LOLB: Jelani Jenkins
MLB: Koa Misi
ROLB: Denzel Perryman
CB 1: Brent 'Optimus' Grimes
CB 2: Jamar Taylor, he's our best option atm; he plays well when he's on the field but he needs to stay healthy!! If he gets injured then one can presume that Mr. Gunter will fill in or Will Davis.
FS: Gerrod Holliman, give the boy a shot
SS: Reshad Jones

ST:
K: Caleb the scrub Sturgis. If we can get Aguayo in the 5th then he'd be starting.
P: Brandon Fields of course.

Extra notes:
We need to get rid of Wheeler and Ellerbe, quite honestly idk who to get to act as backups for the starting LB's above but we need help in that department.

I saw we released Wallace and signed Suh . . . and I kept reading.

Completely stopped when i saw Hartline as our #1 WR

Just like the old days. Yea I don't like the idea but I see it as short term according to this plan, if in a few games Greene turns into a beast then he's the #1 if not then hell we can get a badass receiver in the draft next year, but I like Greene.

I like the idea of releasing Wallace and signing Suh. We need to toughen up our D.

Receivers - Draft Kevin White, Keep Landry and Hartline and sign a free agent WR...we cannot afford Demaryius Thomas but there are others out there who can help us.

That's where I would start.

To follow up my mock scenario. By signing Suh we not only drastically improve our run D but we add another dimension to our defensive culture, an integral part to our attitude, and it provides some trickle-down relief to our pass defense which also may be hindered by inexperience at the 2nd CB position. Unfortunately you can't make all the moves you just have to make the best moves to put your team in a better position, I believe addressing the CB position can wait another year. In the meanwhile we get to see what Jamar Taylor has got. He's young and hopefully he stays healthy. As for the WR position, we will be hurt by the Wallace move but ultimately it's for the best; I think with a strong running game ala Gore and Miller this will be a cost-effective way to ease the pain. Not only that but we give Landry more opportunities and we get to see if he develops into a star, same with Rashad Greene and Charles Clay, Hartilne is solid and works well with Tannehill, he will man the WR1 spot temporarily. As for the O-line I say we add another piece like Connolly who can improve and is a decent player to plug into the guard spot, hopefully all the draft picks we spent on O-linemen start to pay off like Billy Turner, maybe they improve and can fill in with injuries but I believe our guys will be more healthy this year and Ryan will be well protected. As for the LB's it will be drastically improved just by adding Perryman, he is a beast and he will only aid our run-d, I also expect Jenkins to improve. The safety position will also be improved with Holliman at the starting FS spot, he's really good in coverage but poor in run support but with Suh in the middle it will negate this disadvantage.

Overall: this plan gets young guys more involved and gives them bigger opportunities to shine. The defense will be much improved with all these moves which they desperately need. Despite losing Wallace I think our offense will improve. I believe in Tannehill that much that he will improve, and the run game will improve with a 2nd back, he will make his receivers better too and some up and comers like Landry will shine with Wallace gone.

I just think we shouldn't spend much money in this area. We got Landry who's going to be great, we can easily get a receiver in the draft, and save our money for more pressing needs. If we are to sign a receiver in the free agency then I'd keep it cheap, maybe keep Gibson for less money.

Meh, this franchise has killed my enthusiasm for football. 22 years of getting kicked in the junk does that. Next year will be like every year before it for the last decade plus.

Disappointing.

Come on guys! I so desperately want to see us replace the Patriots on that throne! We got an up and comer in Tannehill and our team is really talented with a few more pieces we can get this right! Gahh I hate the Pats.

Damn we could use a lot of therapists on this board lol. We all seem shot in confidence lol.

The vast majority disagree.

One of the biggest offseason questions is where Detroit Lions All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh will land as an unrestricted free agent.

According to multiple sources, the favorite for his landing spot is -- Detroit.

I doubt we can afford him. Assuming we cut Wallace(the assumption this thread is predicated on), Wheeler(goner), and others like Ellerbe we will be taking a serious cap beating.

But lets say we are in the free and clear. And lets ignore the fact that we let it be known we were trying to extend Tannehill and Pouncey. Even if we could outbid other teams, how much would it be by? Seeing as how we will need to be paying more than JJ Watts $100 million, i say we aren't going to be bidding more then...say, $3 million total what other teams will. Assuming all things are equal and we draw up our contract as favorably as other teams(no small assumption there, we lost Jake Long because the Rams gave him some perks despite bidding the same total amount), will Suh choose Miami over one of the New York teams? Doubtful.

Yes, we give him a bit more...but his exposure in New York will be greater than Miami. While Miami is certainly a favorite place to land for exposure, it cant stand up against New York. No, Suh isnt just after a bunch of money via football, he wants commercials. Endorsements. Products named after him. Suddenly that little bit more we would give him vanishes.

Suh just isnt worth the trouble. Not only will we be throwing him a **** ton of money, we would be gaining a potential cancer. That money, which i dont even believe really exists, is better spent on other free agents. Julius Thomas has informed Denver he wont be taking a home town discount and Elway has stopped negotiations. The Browns believe they can win without Jordan Cameron. Michael Crabtree is bailing on San Francisco like its the Titanic(which it is). I'd rather fill up this roster with multiple quality players instead of one. We simply aren't one player away. Hell, we aren't even one coach away from winning.

I'm speaking hypotheticals of course and I encourage others to join in and share what they wish to see for the team. I do believe we can get Suh if we really wanted to. We have one of the best cap experts in the league! and who says a New York team wants him? If it's the Jets well they suck and we can easily pitch to Suh that he will be joining a better team and a great city. If it's the Giants then they probably wouldn't offer that much but if they did, I think we can still outbid them. And by cutting Wallace, Ellerbe, and Wheeler we will take some money off the books for next year allowing for more money to sign Tannehill and Pouncey. The entire plan is to cut costs, our one indulgence would be to get Suh who is in his prime and would be worth every penny. Yes he can be a prick but so was Sapp. Besides a ******** lineman is way more preferable than a ******** receiver.
