60% split among 1500 players. 40% among 32 owners.
The owners are getting far, far richer than even the most wealthy of players.
And yet in a league with a hard salary cap and no guaranteed contracts, people still want to blame the players.

I am not arguing here iwth you nopony as I completely understand where you are coming from.
But who has money invested in the team? The players or the owners? Who pays the bills? Who purchases the teams?
It is only fair that the owners receive the majority of the revenue seeing as they were the ones who invested in it to begin with all the players do is go out on the field and play a game.
Yes, the players, certain players are some of the major reason why they profits are so high for the owners. But as soon as Ray Lewis pays the MILLIONS of dollars it would take to purchase the Baltimore Ravens then he and the players, IMO, DON'T deserve equal share of the revenue regardless of how many they are.
This is a serious question I am not trying to argue with this one. When Ricky Williams or Jason Taylor show up in a Nike, Reebok whatever type of advertisement or commercial does Wayne Huizenga get split profit from that advertisement?
To me the blame falls on both sides. The owners are definitely greedy and can bend a little. BUt I am a firm believer that these guys are playing a game. They are not putting their lives on the line like Firemen, Police officers, they are not helping to better our communities by becoming teachers. They play a game it's that simple. Yet they make millions of dollars more then people that are helping or bettering this country yet they wanna complain about revenue sharing when they just cashed a $125,000 paycheck for playing a 3 hour game last Sunday? I guarantee a committed teacher puts more work into their job, a police officer firemen all put more time and effort into their job then any Football player.
This is just my humble opinion. But to sit here and say only 1 side is to blame is a little naive IMHO
