Without trading up or down, or any amazing drops, whose name do you want to hear them call with the #8 pick? Considering who will probably be available, what would make you say "Good job, Ireland; you got it right"?

i want to hear the fins have traded back a few slots picking up some extra picks, and when we do select i want either decastro or floyd

i like your thinking but i would go tannenhill, blackmon if he falls or kouch

Mark Barron is a stud saftey and considering the uncertainty at the position I think he should be the pick. He would be a starter from day 1 and besides Vontae he would instantly become our best player in the secondary. I think that Tannehill has a ton of potential but we can't afford to miss at 8. If we were to trade back with dallas or san diego and he is still on the board in the middle of round one, I would be much more agreeable with the pick.

In no particular order, I'm hoping for any of these guys: Tannehill, Barron, Cox, or Coples. But as long as Ireland doesn't draft Floyd or Poe (or try to trade up), I think I'll be content with whoever he picks.

Tannehill. I would rather trade down and still pick him up, but if they cannot, then Tannehill @ 8.

This ^
I think Tannehill will succeed. Don't get why it's a negative that he has so little experience yet did so well already. That's a positive to me. A little time and he could be very good. These days you just about need his athleticism too. I'm fine with taking him at #8 and sitting him a year. But yeah, ideally we could trade back a little, but it's probably not worth messing around and possibly missing out.

That said....I'd be happy to have any of Barron, Kuechly, Ingram, Floyd...possibly even Coples.

With the 8th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft… the Miami Dolphins select: Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State University!
