Whose name do you want to hear?

We've heard pretty much everyones opinion for weeks on Miami's first pick. It's going to be Tannehill so I think this thread should be about who do you want to see Miami pick in round 2. Round 1 to me has long been decided

I hope you are right but I don't trust ireland in the least.

I HOPE Kuechly and DeCastro are gone before we pick.

I hope its not too late, but Im jumping on the Mark Barron bandwagon...I would love to have Barron on this team, but Im not sure Ireland would value Safety as one of the highest priorities

round 2 i'll take lavonte david if he gets there janoris jenkins if they feel like he can stay out of trouble or bruce irvin...in round 3 i love brandon brooks and aj jenkins...i could handle broyles though...i also like brandon taylor there...demario davis is quite interesting to me in the 3rd-4th range as is greg childs and joe adams devin wylie and juron criner...

also like hosley in round 3 and brandon boykin at cb

with our top pick if they pass on tannehill i'm fine with any of the top guys...but i want them to take the chance on the qb...any of kuechly, barron, cox, coples if they go that route i'm fine with...decastro also...all are high end premium talents...heck floyd even i'm ok with

brandon brooks...you may have yourself a carl nicks level guard...just got to keep the weight in check

I'd take Luke Kuechly in the 1st round with the 8th pick.

K Dansby will not be a Dolphin in two years at best and he is not a elite player now. His contract is too big, he is slowing down and we will release him.

Luke Kuechly will be a starter from preseason. He will got over 100 tackles as a rookie and is a future All-Pro.

He is on no one's list of players in this draft that could become a bust.

http://walterfootball.com/draft2012ILB.php

Luke Kuechly*, ILB, Boston College
Height: 6-3. Weight: 242.
40 Time: 4.50.
Bench: 27.
Vertical: 38. Broad: 10-3.
Arm: 31.
Projected Round (2012): Top-16.

4/25/12:
Kuechly is the top linebacker in the draft and one of the best linebackers to enter the NFL over the past decade. He could be one of the safest picks in the entire draft class. As far as pure football players, he is one of the best and is in the top 10 of everybody's big board rankings.

Kuechly laid to rest any concerns about his speed with a fabulous showing at the Combine. He validated his draft stock as a pick in the top half of the first round with the potential to go in the top 10.

In the 2nd I'd look for Bobby Massie

Bobby Massie*, OT, Ole Miss
Height: 6-6. Weight: 316.
40 Time: 5.23.
Bench: 22. Arm: 35.
Projected Round (2012): 2.

4/24/12: Massie has quietly moved up draft boards. He had a decent Combine but reportedly had an impressive pro day. Some believe he could crack the first round but should go in the top half of the second round. It wouldn't be a complete shock if a team takes him over Adams.

Massie had some quality games this season. He did well in run blocking in 2011. Massie is too strong to be bull rushed, and he has the athletic ability to mirror well in pass blocking.

Massie is still a little raw and could use more experience and development. There are stretches where he simply overwhelms defenders. Massie looks like he is a future starter at right tackle in the NFL.

Not flashy but fills needs with almost certain NFL starters that could be great. No real risk or possible bust.

In the 3rd start looking for WR and BPA.

2 years? I know you said "at best" but unless he takes a huge pay cut I don't see him being on the roster after this season

i'm not a ronnell lewis guy...i pass

i also like the cb fleming in the 3rd-4th round range...something about that kid i like

I want Blackmon, Floyd, Coples or trade down. I definitely do not want tannehill. I know everyone says miami needs a qb but i can live with matt moore one more year. If the dolphins want a qb for the future i believe that guy is next years draft in matt barkley. By the time tannehill takes to develop i think barkley would be nfl ready if not sooner.

brandon brooks...you may have yourself a carl nicks level guard...just got to keep the weight in check

Brooks does look like a quality NFL starter and is the type of lineman that Philbin was talking about the other day

It depends on whether or not MIAMI trades down. If MIAMI does, and picks up a relatively early 2nd Round Pick, COPLES. If MIAMI can't trade down, take your pick: KUECHLY or RICHARDSON (who I believe will be there). IF MIAMI trades down, and gets a decent 2nd Round Pick, Then MASSIE w/our pick and IRVIN w/the other one. Round 3 is for 2 WRs, one of whom is GIVENS. As to the other one, whoever IRELAND and the Coach decide on. Round 4 is for the higest-rated player who is either a G or an OLB. Rounds 5 thru 7 are for "flyers", giving IRELAND the Coaches and the Scouting staff a chance to make their fame.

But #1 is for KUECHLY/RICHARDSON or COPLES, depending on how things play out early. But I would prefer not to draft a QB at all. Next year, the QB draft class will be MUCH better, rivaling MARINO's draft class...and maybe even deeper, seeing as how 2 of the best QBs expected to come out THIS year will come out NEXT year. That's where MIAMI should look for its "franchise" QB, unless MOORE surprises everyone by turning out to be one. MOORE should be extended/rewarded right now, in any event.

There's only ONE wild-card scenario, i/m/o. And that is if everyone in the MIAMI organization swears by TANNEHILL's talent, and Coach SHERMAN in particular gives him the most GLOWING endorsement EVER. If that were to happen, I'd ride w/their collective judgment.

i'd like a late round flier on kyle wilbur 5th round on but for whatever reason i don't think we've paid him any attention...i like tom compton in the 5th on the oline like the fb out of umass like the ellison kid out of usc for our o...i also like the darius reynolds wr from iowa st very late...he fits imo what we want to do and what i saw in green bay

if we pass on bobbie massie at #42 if he gets there i'd watch out for matt mccants in the 4th or so...

You think round one has been decided? How long have you been a Fin Fan? When last have we done the conventional, accepted thing with our first round pick?
