After 8 practices, Omar Kelly opines that Moses, Nathan Jones, Parmele and Langford have advanced their causes, while, sometimes because not merely seeing enough activity, Wilford, Mauia (pretty critical here), Ryan and Carpenter have not helped themselves.

Of course it's been underscored that his opinions are sometimes prejudicially subjective, so you can take this all for what it's worth.

Omar has been pretty good, but his continued ingnorance of John Beck take a little of his credibility away. IMO, the player who has hurt himself the most in the eyes of the staff would have to be David Martin. He seemingly drops 1 per practice and Fasano by all accounts is having a good camp. Bye bye Cam guy.

I read somewhere that Sparano is pleased with how much Martin has improved his blocking this offseason. Then again, I have read three days in a row now that Martin dropped a pass. If we're planning on keeping three TE's with the goal of running 2 TE sets for Ronnie and Ricky, that 3rd tight end might be a guy that has to block really well, which is something Martin seems to have vastly improved on.

Omar has not said anything nearly as harsh about Beck as has Ben and Edgar of the PBP. Why are you all hard on Omar? He can;t report what he sees?

One player whose stock has fallen is Scorpio Babers. It has fallen so much that he is no longer here.
Cornerback Scorpio Babers has been released. No. 30, whoever he is, is the roster replacement. So if the Dolphins do sign Terry Glenn, someone else will have to be waived.

So basically, reading this was just a waste of time?

He got called out on it very, very early...before Beck's bad practice on Sunday. It is not about what he has written since TC started, it is more about what he wrote (and said, in those video segments) over the three months preceding. I think once it became apparent that Omar was being singled out for his views on John Beck, he really just decided to go relatively hands off on the position altogether.
