Not sure if this has been talked about, but reading through all the mocks and scouting reports there doesn't seem to be a consensus #1 pass rusher. Thought I'd throw it out to the experts. Here are some names to consider, not in any order.

Joey Bosa DE Ohio State
Shaq Lawson DE Clemson
DeForest Buckner DE/DT Oregon
Leonard Floyd OLB Georgia
Emmanuel Ogbah DE Oklahoma State

Others?

Carl Nassib, DE Penn State led the nation in sacks with 16.

Kevin Dodd, DE Clemson

It would take some huge balls to trust Noah Spence with a pile of cash in South Florida. Either way it's Bosa. His sacks were down but his pressures and hits were pretty amazing.

Best value for Miami would be Nassib in round 2.

Hey CK. What are your thoughts on some mid-rounders like Dadi Nicholas (I know he had a bad senior year) and others?

I could see Nassib as a target in R2. Should be some really tough choices for R2, including maybe Henry, Oakman, Kearse, Jones from Mississippi State, a handful of cb's. I think where Oakman falls will be one of the more interesting stories in the draft.

This is why trading down and getting Ragland or Apple is so appealing to me. I'd really love to have two second round picks. And if Miami wants to gamble on Spence, then do it in round two or take Nassib and the best guard on the board. Now that being said, if Ramsey is in the board at 8 I'm taking him.

I just wonder how far Ragland would fall. I 'm not sure he makes it past Chicago or the New York Giants. I love Ragland.

This is such an interesting draft because Miami could dramatically improve in the secondary with Ramsey, Alexander or Hargraeves in R1 and potentially Kearse in R2. So many options and a lot will depend on what happens with Vernon and/or Wake...hope we keep both.

No to Kearse in round 2. Measurables will be great, but he overruns plays too often, takes bad angles, and doesn't always give great effort.

Dadi is the wild card of the draft for me, among the pass rushers. On paper, he's a 3-4 OLB with that narrow frame and the coverage ability, but I actually also like him as a 4-3 DE on passing downs. His ability to shoot the gap is unparalleled in the draft, he's just not as powerful as the bigger dudes. His hands are violent though, the kid has no trouble getting off blocks when the lineman isn't fully locked on.

He's a first round talent with third round measurables (size wise).

But you have to wonder why his 2015 production was such a dropoff from 2014. He's down on sacks, hurries, TFL... basically the full suite of stats. I haven't seen on video any obvious dropoff in effort and the only thing I've read is that he played the first half of the season with a nasty hand injuries to both hands which hampered his ability to tackle. Dunno, I just believe he has the goods and I'd be delighted if he was available lower than his natural spot based upon talent - for me bottom of the first round.

If it's not Joey Bosa then it's Noah Spence.

As a Buckeyes fan, it's too bad Spence couldn't keep his act together. He and Joey would have caused some major havoc playing together this past season.

Even though he won't count as such, if/when Spence goes in the 1st round -- it's basically yet another 1st round Buckeye.

PFF College @PFF_College

53 pressures from 239 pass rushing snaps. No 4-3 DE in this draft class topped Carl Nassib in Pass Rush Productivity
