How about D - All of the Above?

Thomas assembled an overpriced, underachieving cast of characters that couldn't possibly work together, then hired the worst possible man to coach that bunch. Brown demands that a point guard not dominate the ball and get his teammates involved...so of course he's the ideal guy to coach a team where Stephon Marbury is the best player. And just to make matters more interesting, they picked up Steve Francis...presumably to run the point when Marbury gets traded this summer. Meanwhile, Brown is completely unafraid to air his dirty laundry before the media...so of course he's the perfect guy to coach in New York City.

Thomas put together an unworkable cast of characters. Brown probably did the worst job of coaching in the NBA this year. The players didn't respond to Brown and with few exceptions, underachieved tremendously. You don't get to be THIS bad without a lot of people screwing up. (Incidentally, I voted for Thomas in the poll.)

C. The Players...

Isiah put together a roster of overpriced talent. Thats true. But the key word there is talent. This group actually has quite a bit of it. What they lack is desire and committment to winning. They have a coach who's won on every level. All they have to do is listen and respond accordingly. instead theyve sulked endlessly, played selfishly& stupidly, ignored his plea's for defense, rebounding and team play, and made the same mistakes over and over in many cases.

It wasnt LB's best coaching job but his worst is still better than a lot of other people's best. At the very least they could have learned from their mistakes instead of playing with blissful pride while the team suffered.

Isiah and the players. Most of the players here were acquired by Thomas so they feel they have to answer to him, not Brown, which is why they refuse to listen even though Brown's track record is great. Everyone is complaining about Larry airing the teams business out to the media but the fact is this, Larry is the same Larry he's always been. All the players go behind his back and talk **** about him to Isiah, yet no one has any complains about it. At least when Brown says something the players hear it actually come out of his mouth, even if it's said through the media. Marbury has to go, no one on the team likes him and Q Rich has gotten in a few scuffles with Marbury during the season. Once Marbury and Isiah are gone I think the Knicks will improve, their both cancers. Anyone who puts this on L.B. is nuts. If he can get Rasheed Wallace to turn his career around, it's obvious he knows what he's doing!

By the way, Marbury is the biggest piece of trash in the world. He's been doing things his way his whole career and never got anywhere. He had a chance to have one of the best coaches ever show him how to change his game so he could become a winner and what does he do, he doesn't give Brown even a whole season to work his plan and 20 games into the season these two didn't like eachother. Marbury is a piece of trash and I said that when we got him and I'll say it until he's wearing another teams jersey which will probably be never with his contract!
