Why a player like M.Vick could be useful...

By no means am I saying I want Marcus to make the team. I am simply stating why a player like Vick would be useful. I know I mentioned this in a seperate post but oh well. This works only if Sir Saban feels that Marcus can help the team. By adding Marcus to the 53 man roster, He enables the Dolphins to carry 2 QBs and by that creates 1 more roster spot. If by chance (GOD FORBID) the Dolphins need a 3rd QB in a game, He steps in. The following week, the Dolphins can make a roster move - maybe bring up a QB off of their practice squad. This is all contingent on if Marcus can help the team and if he is qualified enough to make the team. He has no experience (that I know of) at playing WR or KR and should not be given a spot over a more qualified player if there happens to be one. Marcus has shown glimpses of being a productive QB and has shown a fantastic arm but then again so did A.J. Feeley. Basically in Saban I trust...

P.S. players like WES WELKER should always have a place on the Miami Dolphins!

Vick does help with "saving" a roster spot, in a way. He still takes up a spot, so, it doesn't really matter (if he makes the 53 man roster). He can definitely help on the practice squad. Can he help at WR? Probably. I think Mularkey is a "trick play" kind of guy. I wouldn't be surprised if Vick follows a Randel El mold.
 
he can help us by with trick plays, he can help us with several different types of ceratin plays in wr or qb. not by sittin on the bench.

What I meant was, if Saban feels that he is capable of making the transition from QB to WR and help the Dolphins by contributing at that position then he is taking up a spot, YES, but the spot would be at WR. That allows you to carry 2 QBs because you know that in a worse case scenario, Vick can step in at QB. That way Miami can carry an extra LB or CB whatever Saban desires. Althought Pittsburgh carried 3 Qbs last year, I always thought Randel El gave them that X-factor that teams sometimes need.

but he does count against the teams 53 man roster... if you can save a roster spot by carrying only 2, opens up a spot for a different position.
 
C'mon - Vick is a thug! There is a BIG reason that a guy with all this talent went UNDRAFTED!! Each team has how many scouts - do you not think they were looking for the next potential Randle El? Vick has a beter shot of being in prison by the end of camp than making the final roster. He's camp fodder that if all the axis aligned perfectly he could make the practice squad. And we know from experience how long your chances of staying on that are the way Saban picks people up during the year. Please people get over this guy - he's a perfect arena ball player - that's about it with his character issues.

marcus vick could be very very usefull dont be suprised he doesnt pull off some very important returns or first downs , im not saying a lot , but there could be a game on the line and he either rerturns an important one or gets us a first down on a sneak (run of course) with his agility and speed (not power or weight)

Yeah, or if the mascot is a few bucks short on his rent, Vick could hold up a liquor store to help him out... You know kindve second nature for him.....:shakeno:

He can be the next Randall-El, if Marcus gets his act together.
