Why Alex Smith really came to Miami

yeah but ireland's due diligence is kind of shakey...sometimes he asks inappropriate questions that everyone in the NFL remember for a long time...
 
Funny! Then why was Alex crying about Ireland lying to him about not presenting him with a formal contract offer. All he was going to do it take it back to the 49ers to match. He used us from the beginning.

He brought in 4 QBs and he did sort of refuse to sign them without letting them know they would be competing with Moore and wouldn't be handed anything. Also didn't want to pay them more than him too.
 
I don't necessarily believe him. He was going to be replaced by Manning after having his team get to the NFC Title game and then Manning goes to Denver which then has Smith go back to SF with his tail between his legs.

In the end it isn't important but there will be opinions on both sides regarding this.
 
Come on people! At the end of the day it is better to repair a relationship with your current team that has a sick D, and a load of weapons on offense like Gore, Davis, Manningham, Crabtree and Moss then sign at Miami.
 
This guy seems like such a baby. Let him bring down the 49ers for the next three years.
 
I really wish the 49ers would have gotten Manning just so I can see this guy squirm. How is Alex Smith the most diva QB in the NFL?
 
I dunno if it's true or not; what I do know is that the gal we considered dancing with, a 1 out of 7 year wonder is not appreciably better than the one we done brung - and from a comp standpoint: not even 2X better let alone 4X.

Whether he actually said that or not - and you never know what to believe, if he did, he's nothing more than a punkazz who deserved to be jerked around by Ireland who may be getting smarter and using others more than being used for a change :idk:
 
I'm glad he went back to the 49ers. We get to see Smith is a diva threads as opposed to the Ireland is a genius and Smith will be great threads. Besides Smith is a millionaire, he can visit Miami or any city whenever he pleases.

Agree. Alex is doing damage control, as he should be, and he is doing a good job of it.

The 49ers are a much better team, and the contract they offered him was pretty good. He would have been nuts to sign anywhere else.

As did Ryan Clark and Olin Kreutz. In fact, even further back John Randle. It cuts both ways

I don't agree with you. In addition 'sometimes' is plural. Other than the question posed to Dez Bryant about his mother, what other alleged inappropriate questions has he asked?

And you base this on what fact . Not one fact just an opinion. Yea Im sure Manning was going to have to compete with Moore what a joke. The only guy im sure will compete is Garrard and Garrard is making more money so dont be suprised
