First, he is still the coach of the Miami Dolphins.

If he does leave, then so be it. Maybe he gave the NFL two years and this league is not his cup of tea, so what? I'am sure a lot of people have had jobs that they don't like and looked around for another. That's part of life.

Pete Carroll, Steve Spurrier, Al Grogh (sp) gave the league a chance and it wasn't for them. They all went back to the college ranks and are being successfull. Heck, I'am even looking for another job. It will be the 3rd in 2 years for me, but I keep telling my boss that I'am there for the long haul.

Why should people bash him for going back and doing what he really loves to do and that is coach the young players.

The Dolphins are in the middle of a rebuilding process and the future does look better now than it did two years ago when he started. Just look at his draft picks and the cap situation now and two years ago. It's much better.

If I could find a job that I enjoyed tomorrow, I'd quit my present job in a heartbeat, so would a lot of you.

If coach Saban leaves, then I'll wish him well.

Hate is a strong word. Most are angry with him. Me, I just have no respect left for him.

Because if he leaves right now, Wanny was more successfully than him. Period.

I wish him well also, but the fact is he's stabbing the Dolphins (fans and all) in the back if he leaves. He talks up a big game about the future and everything and then just dips out. If he didn't like the Miami area to begin with, he should have never taken the job from the get go

He's just doing what's best for him and his wife, what's wrong with that? Most people would do the same. Are you going to tell your boss or co-workers that you MIGHT be leaving? Probably not and maybe the NFL game is not for him. Is that a bad thing? Here's a chance for him to go back to the college ranks and be happy again, if he's not happy with the Dolphins or the NFL.

Just heard that Saban has met with Alabama officials about the head coaching job!

Fox reported that Wayne H. will not renegotiate a new contract for Saban and that The Dolphins and Alabama want a decision by tomarrow (tue)

:fire:

Well, he "squashed" these rumors by saying he won't be Alabama's coach. Now he seems to be talking with them about it. I think it's a bit sleazy. He b*tched at the media like they have been lying and pestering him about it, but he seems to be playing word games.

our interest isn't what's best for him and his family - our interest is what's best for the Dolphins. Him leaving now would seriously hurt the Dolphins.

So yes, the fact that he is not eliminating any doubt (by not commenting on the issue, he's leaving the door open for an exit), he is making moves detrimental to this ballclub.

what's worse is the point others have pointed out - he has not turned this team around, and Wanny had a better record than him. Let's just say that i am not impressed. I don't care if he leaves or stays, but if he leaves it says a lot more about his character (or lack thereof)

Fire his azz Wayne, have balls !!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a problem with Nick Saban leaving for the sake of his family. What I do have a problem with is how he has repeatedly said that he wouldn't leave until the job was finished. I have worked at jobs where I wasn't happy, and of course I didn't tell the boss how I felt. But I also didn't go out of my way to misrepresent my future with the company.

Coach Saban deserves the benefit of the doubt, but if he does announce that he is leaving to take the Alabama job, I will be EXTREMELY disappointed with him.

what do you expect from a guy whose fav food is dog covered in chili
