I was reading the Ernest Wilford prediction thread and noticed once poster in particular kept harping on Hagan's propensity to sometimes become very Chambers-like, that is he'll make the big catch and drop the easy ones. It's one thing to criticize a player for such antics, but to so vehemently hope that a player hits the road is a bit distasteful to me. I don't know, I guess I just can't understand it, especially considering the guy has considerably better hands than Troy Williamson.

I don't like Hagan because he drops the ball a lot. I hope he either (a) learns how to catch; or (b) plays for someone else.

I don't understand your argument about Troy Williamson. He can't catch either. So what.

He is ok. 2 many drops for me yet ill give him another year. If he doenst step it up next season consider him :foundout: GONE !

ehhhhhh Hagan's alright I dont mind him, just dont see him as a starter.

Hagan's not a bad guy. At this point he's a servicable #3 or #4 wide receiver. Now, if he's willing to prove me wrong and have a crazy breakout year in 2008. I'm definately up for that!

Like many recent Dolphin WRs, you wonder how he will perform with better quarterback play. I think he could be a great receiver with a consistent QB - the guy did not forget how to catch.

So, um, I guess you completely forgot about Hagan being the primary target during that drive Beck put together against Cinci? Or the fact that he made quite a few nice catches during this past season? I'm not arguing Hagan is some kind of diamond in the rough or any such thing, but to suggest he's allergic to pork like Williamson is ridiculous on a level I can't comprehend.

im with you i thitnk the potential is there just lack of playing time and good qb play and some concentration on his part. I think it s all there he jus got to put it togetherbut alot of ppl wana jus cut him and be done with it i dont get y

Hagan has personally cost two remote controls that were damaged via rapid deceleration when striking a wall while watching Dolphins games...

His inconsistency is maddening, he had 29 catches or so, 21 went for 1st downs, so he is productive, but he could do so much more then he has.

As to a poster writing such things, try joining VIP, the conversation is much more civil, and the information much better.

Probably not a bad idea. When I finally get a bank account set up here in RI, I'll pony up the money.

I like Hagan a lot. I was very excited when we got him from ASU because he has a lot of potential. But the man couldn't catch a beachball filled with water thrown underhanded 3 feet away.

The hostility toward Hagan?

The expectations from fans have not been met. The guy has the ability to get open consistently in the short to intermediate routes but DROPS TOOO MANY PASSES.

Fans have every right to be on Hagans' case.

Every Miami fan would love to see Hagan thrive, he's just not taking care of business.

My problem is that "fan expectations" are too extreme, especially considering that he's never been better than #3 on the depth chart. The guy was a third round pick and he just finished his second year in the league. I think we should let him play '08 before jumping on his case.

I understand the expectations and all how it takes four years for a wide out to settle in the league. The problem we have with him is that he can't seem to hold on to a ball even when he is WIDE OPEN. I remember him dropping a pass that would have resulted in a first down and no one was within ten yards of him. It was also 3rd and something.
