I have read a few articles and threads where people have said they be happy with Harris. We all want Porter but if we can't get him then so be it.My disagrement over this is why Harris. If i remember correctly he was involved in the Moss trade and looking at his stats, i half to say there not impressive at all. With all they hype this guy had and going to the vikings he finished with only 2 1/2 sacks and has only 6 career wise. His tackling numbers arent that great either.I only ask why love for him.The two other choices Polk from SD and Peek from Hou seem to underachieving stats as well.At this rate it would be wise to resign Spragan ( who i think stinks ) and draft a Lb in the 2nd or 3rd rd , if we can't get Porter.Im sure the organzation will do everything in there power to get Dielman and Porter here.Imho bringing in guys like Peek or Polk remind me of last year with a guy like Anderson or Goodman, cheap answers to key positions...look where that got us.

yea, but napolean will come wicked cheap

If he is as good as he is made out to be ( Harris ) are u sure he will come cheap or at all.Let's be honest here guys like David Givens and Randel El were signing big contracts last year and they were nothing more then decent players at best. They didn't come cheap for there new teams and these days i doubt any 1 will.

i want porter sooo bad its not funny, however i would be happy with napoleon because he is an upgrade over spragan. harris isnt great, but you cant have a great player at every position. with spragan our front 7 was awesome, harris is a definate upgrade that is good enough to plug in and do an adequate job, which is more than what can be said of spragan.

however, please get porter

I think if we cnanot land Dielman then we should make Porter # 1 priority

Harris has been a major disappointment after being selected in the 1st round by the Raiders a few years back. I'll pass on him. He's a flop.

Derrick Pope should be given the opportunity to make the 1st squad. He just might be the OLB the Dolphins are looking for. He excels every chance he receives playing time.

Tully Banta-Cain is the OLB we want. He'll come relatively cheaply. He's 27 years old. He's been well coached. And he notched 5.5 sacks in part-time duty last season.

Stats for a SOLB, especially in the 4-3, are often unspectacular and misleading because they have to do the dirty work like taking on blockers in the running game and covering the TE in the passing game. Napoleon Harris has done very well his role.

Harris had 42 solo tackles last year, despite missing two full games and most of another, while Spragen only had 28. That in itself makes him a potential upgrade at the position.
