I don't get it? Sparano shows more emotion and intensity on the sidelines than the team.

I think he means PHYSICAL and INTENSE on the field. If you watched the Steelers defenders, they just clobber ball carriers and knock the snot out of people. We have ZERO players who fit that mold. We need to find a bunch of players who know how to be PHYSICAL and are glass eaters!!!!

Exactly. They are intense 24/7 from start to finish every game. Our guys get intense once in a blue moon after 3 quarters of prodding someone might show a small flare then its non-existent the rest of the game.

Marino, the 72 class (Csonka, etc.) , Z.Thomas,etc. these guys played hard every down. They were warriors on the field and always brought 110%. This team badly needs players that can restore that passionate, mean, toughness, it once had.

If by mean you mean big hitters such as Palamalau I would much rather have high intesity players that wrap up and tackle.

If I lived in Pittsburgh, I'd walk around pi$$ed too.

Living in Miami, one probably has to be a bit more selective when to expend energy through histrionics and when not to do so.

I think you have to give the Trifecta time to get their type of players in Miami and for the players to get used to each other as well as the system. With more familiarity the players will able to think less and just play more. Not only will they know what their job is but the job of others players as well. We had a lot of players who were playing together for the first time and in a new system they were not familiar with.

In an interview before the Super Bowl, Pittsburgh's James Harrison talked about first learning his job during his first year as a starter in 2007. Then this past year he learned what the offensive line was trying to do and was able to play faster. Next year he's hoping to learn what everyone's job is. Which is scary.

I kind of agree, but there are obviously some guys that are very emotional & intense on our team.

Pennington, Porter, Yeremiah, Roth, Fasano, we just need to get some more guys like that. Great players aren't always expressive though.

Montana was always Joe cool, while Marino would be screaming at his WR's and his face would be turning purple. Aikman was a cool customer as well.

I remember Porter talking about Sporano, how the team got fired up by seeing him so into the game...

Yerimiah is intense. He is all over the field and mark my words with a few picks in his career he will be right up there with Troy, Reed, Dawkins and A. Wilson.

Also pennington is a fiery type of player, he gets everyone into it.

I think our big problem of attitude stems from the lifeless linebacker play.
Crowder: the only emotion ive seen is when his hair got pulled by matt light.
Akin he is solid but shows little emotion, charlie anderson shows emotion but isnt that good.

Our most intense and physical players in our D are Y. Bell and Porter. Like others have mentioned, we need more intensity from our other LB's. I also think our whole D as whole need to get bigger and stronger. I am sure Sparano will have them in the weight room this offseason more than ever.

I remember certain players from Arizona and San Diego saying Miami was the most physical team they played all year. I'll try and find a link....

Pennington is the reason-he was always calm and collected and the team showed that side. Montana was the same way and his team had a quite confidence. Now the defense is another story. We need some crazy wild hitters. Next year we need to JACK UP some opponents when the oppertunity arises. we are starting to earn some respect but we need to instill some FEAR.
