Yea flynn might not be proven yet but he has ringing endorsements from the best qb in the league and mike mccarthy one of the great coaches in the league. His chemistry with joe philbin has to be at an all time high and can come right in and take over this team. Not only that, by taking a chance on a free agent we can use our draft pick on another huge need on our team, WR or another Elite CB opposite of vontae, claiborne/kirkpatrick. Did i mention he took lsu to the big game and won?

Now tannenhill would be a huge project, a rookie that is going to be thrown to the wolves his rookie year with no weapons whatsoever since we will have to use our first pick on him. Im not impressed with tannelhill, i watched the highlights of him and just didnt impress me. Seems like another tebow clone. Likes to run the ball alot aka tebow.

Im all in on flynn, its our best option.

I think Tannehill is already a very good WR and a Good QB. Imagine Wildcat with Tennehill at WR, Tebow at the QB, and McFadden at RB. Maybe they should all go to the Raiders and make it happen.
If Manning went to Denver and I were Tebow, I would ask to be cut and then head over to the Raiders or chiefs but Raiders first.

watch this video, if u aint impressed with flynn after this i dont know what will impress someone of you http://youtu.be/sgdBocjHaQE

You can argue that it was only 1 game, but put it this way, chad henne has 16 games a year for 3 years, and never once did he show the potential flynn showed in that video.

Flynn is miamis best option and i think slowly but surely philbin and ireland are catching on.

I dreamed of a healthy Manning from mid fall...

I strongly supported the idea of Matt Flynn since his slicing and dicing of the Pats on Sunday Night Football in 2010.

I dread the idea of taking Tannehill at 8 let alone having to trade up for him. I thought he was interesting as a late 1 or 2nd rounder. However, I think he needs a TON of development. I just do not see what the hubbub is about. Nice athlete and some tools, but not a top ten guy.

this reminds me, i gotta change my sig already lol. 2 out of the 4 players in my sig are both gone from the dolphins!

Hopefully if Miami drafts tannehill at 8 we can get the Tannehill family as well!:rolleyes2:

Perhaps it's an FO debate between the ceiling and upside of both players?

I love Flynn at LSU, all he did was win football games.

IMO, the HUGE difference between the two is that one will cost the 8th pick in the draft (and most expects think he will be gone by the #8 pick) and the other is a UFA.

The other is that Flynn has A) Experience as a NFL QB and B) Experience in our new head coaches offense.

If we cannot get Flynn, I'll plug my choice again:

Brock Osweiler, QB, Arizona State :3w:

I don't want Flynn, because he was not that good coming out of college, and he only played two games. He looks like Scott Mitchell all over again. Ask the Lions how that worked out for them. Or ask the Cardinals how Kolb worked out. Or does any one remember A.J Feeley. Maybe there is the Matt Cassel example. Back up quarterbacks are what they are...not good enough to be starters and not worth the money.

How has Schaub worked out? Brunnell? Favre? Hasselback? Oh I forgot how did Brady work out for the pats? It is no more risky than drafting a qb. You take your chances.

What about feeley, Moore, frerotte, Lucas, etc?

If Sparano and daboll were still in place I would say the expected value of Flynn + whoever we pick at 8 (+ maybe a second round pick to move up) is higher than Tannenhill. Plus I think Flynn gives us a better opportunity to make the playoffs this year where if Tannenhill works out it'll probably take him a few years to develop.

But this year we have two coaches who are just months removed from working with both of these guys so whatever decision they make I'll be happy with. I really hope we go with Flynn though.

Simple - people hate the fact Flynn was a 7th rounder and that Tannehill is listed as a first rounder in a drafts sans Barkley and Landry Jones - people like to waste a first on Ryan when Moore is sitting there is beyond me - Flynn wasn't fluking but he had some good WRs and TEs to distribute the ball to
