Even though he's only played a half for us, he really played well in my opinion. All I hear people talking about is that INT but he did some good things out there. He made plays. The experts seem to agree that Fiedler should be the QB but I don't. Let the kid grow on the field so we can see what he can do. I think he's going to be alright for us. I believe he's going to surprise people on Sunday.

That interception was deadly. It frankly compromised our chance of winning as much as anything Jay did (yes, thanks to good D in the first half). I think AJ and LG both have responsibility there. This decision should frankly be about more than just one game, though. I don't give a hot damn about potential -- I want the guy the coaching staff thinks gives this team the best chance to win. Since Dave's professional life is on the line and he has now chosen AJ, it looks to me like AJ is that man. We need to lock him in for at least a few games and see where it goes...

As far as the experts go, they're professional skeptics. Have you ever heard that saying about those who can and those who can't? The "experts" are the ones who can't...

Just want to point one thing out for everyone. This is not a knock.

No one should ever refer to AJ as a kid. Seen it many many times here. He is a 4 year vet and is 27 years old. There are starting QBs in the NFL younger than he is.

For some reason I get the feeling that many when they think of AJ think of some young rookie QB.

What's ironic is how some "experts" have good things to say about other QB's that haven't accomplished much in NFL (Palmer, Boller, etc.) yet here's Feeley who at least has a 3-1 record as a starter and now he's not worthy to be a starting QB. I don't care that he was a 3rd stringer and that Boller and Palmer were former 1st round picks. Let the guy prove himself (or disprove himself for that matter) on the field.

I have seen some here actually refer to him as a rookie QB.

As to kid, I'll probably call him kid every now and again. I do that with players younger than I am...

His experience makes him a kid still. It's just a figure of speech. Not referring to age in comparison to other QB's.

Dudes, it's 'cause he SUCKS!!! Just come to grips with it. Trust me, it makes the losing easier. Remember Klingler or Blake? I know what I"m talking about.

Kitna Smacktalk forum is for smacktalk this is for genuine football talk If you think you see some weakness in AJ's game go ahead and and talk about it "he sucks" isnt going to cut it.

Remember Kitna? He used to suck too!!! The assessment that Klingler sucked was made after you gave him a significant amount of time to be the QB. Feeley's only had 4 starts in his career. Let's hold that judgment for a few weeks before we group him w/ Klingler (I don't think he'll ever be that bad though IMO)

I honestly believe the vast majority of them didn't see him play. They base their judgements on the highlights and stats. In fact, most of these "experts" probably only watch 3-4 full games a weekend, much like a regular fan. Always take their opinion, good or bad, with a grain of salt.

We are fans of the Miami Dolphins, not the Cinncinati Bengals, we are used to being competitive every year, we don't "come to grips" with losing, no offense, it's not your fault Bengals fans give up so easy, you've been bred that way, but it is fact.

Yeah.

It's all about the name to these guys.

These so called experts have their picks. Look at Baltimore. They get smoked by a bad Cleveland team and look terrible in the process. Yet, you don't see them saying anything other than Baltimore simply laid an egg in the first week. I heard Mike Golic say today that Baltimore will win because of that defense. Well, the same thing will happen in Miami. Miami's defense is good enough to win 8 games. If the offense develops and comes through at the end of the season, then Miami can possibly win 10, maybe even 11 games.

These are the same idiots that bragged about Matt Hasselbeck's potential when Seattle traded for him, bashed him when he didn't play well in his first season as a starter, continuously stated that Mike Holmgren was making a mistake by not starting Trent Dilfer, and now they hang off Hasselbeck's nut-sack, making statements like Steve Young made the other day. "Matt Hasselbeck runs the WCO better than any other QB in the league."

I'd love to be able to call these idiots out for what they have said after Feeley develops into a Matt Hasselbeck type.

I wouldn't consider Bengals fans experts at anything, I mean come on, They root for the Bengals for crying out loud.

Yeah, whats up with that? A 4year vet and ALREADY 27? Did he lose a year or two somewhere, or is this on par with your average progression throughout NFL?

And why do people fail to bring up that AJ has strted 5 games before coming to Miami and played well in those?
