I disagree, the reason the Jets ALWAYS get the kid-glove treatment in the media is because the media doesn't want to piss off the largest sports market in the country.

are you serious? the Jets got more negative press this season than Miami has had in the last crappy decade. It's all your perception that the Jets weren't bashed, the team couldn't have ben bashed more and we were 8-8 off 2 titles games not 6-10 off a decade plus w/o a playoff win.

The best C in the league was hurt for most of the year and missed multiple games, our LG played w/ a badly damaged shoulder that had to be operated on right after the season and he may not be ready for camp, our RT stunk, LT and Greene were hurt at various parts of the season, we traded away our #3 WR after te first month.

They started losing before Fred Jackson and some of the other guys went down. Last I checked Fred played all game against us in Buffalo coming off a spanking of the skisn the week before. What did Fitz do? 15-31, 191 yds, 1 TD, 2 INTs and most of those yds and the TD were in garbage time and this was a game where Jackson averaged 4.5 YPC against us.

The Bills beat one very good team needing Brady to throw 4 INts and the D to score to squeak out that game and one decent team in oakland- again at home and again a close game in a game that started 10AM Oakland time. Early in the year Buf had no pressure to win, they were loose and playing well then all of a sudden everyone expected them to win and Fitz for the first time had expectations to win and he couldn't play w/ those expectations.



Don't judge using ratings, neither QB was good last year but again Moore's "success" came after the season was over and he had no pressure to win.

Moore was in an easy situation, he had no pressure. Sanchez was the one expected to win w/ everything changing around him, w/a poor OL, w/ LR issues, etc...

Dealing with pressure is a QBs job. Are you saying Sanchez failed at his job, junc? What is more critical is first team practice reps. Moore had none till he started his first game. Add to that a shortenedoff season and never having been in the offense before, Moore performed admirably.

Brady is a legend.

I think Fitzpatrick is a pretty good player and I give him a bit of a pass on last season considering his rib injury.

I think Moore is the most underrated QB in the league. He's pretty decent. Better than most people give him credit for.

Sanchez is hot garbage. He's only going to get worse with the Meatball in charge of the offense up there. This is one of the few things that make me smile as I think about the upcoming season. Its going to be fun watching the Jests be terrible with Rex in charge, Meatball running the offense, and Sanchez being terrible at QB.

That total QBR rating system they have now isnt really that bad. I think it truly identified the 5 worst QBs I saw last season. Gabbert was of course the worst with Tebow in the middle of that bottom 5. Sanchez had the 5th worst rating. Bradford was in there, but I wouldnt count him as being in the bottom 5 based off last season. Gabbert was clearly the absolute worst Ive ever seen. That guy mightve been worse than what I saw from Beck in a phins uni and thats saying something. But, yea, Sanchez IMO is one of the worst 5 starting QBs in the league. He's terrible.

Because a team is 0-7 there's no pressure to win. Winning isn't important in the NFL. It doesn't matter what your record is. You only matter if you as a team are over .500. None of Matt Moore's stats are important b/c the team was average to poor last year.

Negative press was there (if at all) in all likelihood b/c of the yearly proclamations by Ryan that they'd win the Super Bowl. You say that, you have a target on your back.

No doubt that on performance Moore was the 2nd best QB in AFC East least year. Can he do that again without BM and in the west coast O - will I am less sure about that. However, if health Garrard had the potential to unseat Moore in this system. He is very mobile, accurate and powerful - both throwing and running. Chech out his last healthy season 2010 - he was terrific! So we have a solid starter and backup.

The next part of this plan is the draft and then we will see if Tannenhill, Weeden or Cousins is our developmental QB. Whomever it is, they will have a great chance of starting in 2013.

every player has internal pressure to play well but the outside pressure can get to players.

In 2011 he failed but I don't think it was b/c of pressure b/c he has had pressure to win from day 1 and has handled that well. he just didn't play well.

Total QBR is a bigger joke than regular QBR. It sounds great in theory but it was an awful tool.

Agreed, and not only that but the teams he played against were "under pressure to win," including the Jets in week 17.

And I don't want to hear(from jets fans) about the Jets not being able to get in the playoffs even if they won that game, because they did not know they were eliminated from the playoffs until after that game. Plus we kicked their a$$es without Bush and Long.
