Why Are The Other AFC East Teams Set At QB?

It's easier to play w/ broken ribs for a QB.

The best C in the league was hurt for most of the year and missed multiple games, our LG played w/ a badly damaged shoulder that had to be operated on right after the season and he may not be ready for camp, our RT stunk, LT and Greene were hurt at various parts of the season, we traded away our #3 WR after te first month.

They started losing before Fred Jackson and some of the other guys went down. Last I checked Fred played all game against us in Buffalo coming off a spanking of the skisn the week before. What did Fitz do? 15-31, 191 yds, 1 TD, 2 INTs and most of those yds and the TD were in garbage time and this was a game where Jackson averaged 4.5 YPC against us.

The Bills beat one very good team needing Brady to throw 4 INts and the D to score to squeak out that game and one decent team in oakland- again at home and again a close game in a game that started 10AM Oakland time. Early in the year Buf had no pressure to win, they were loose and playing well then all of a sudden everyone expected them to win and Fitz for the first time had expectations to win and he couldn't play w/ those expectations.

Don't judge using ratings, neither QB was good last year but again Moore's "success" came after the season was over and he had no pressure to win.

Moore was in an easy situation, he had no pressure. Sanchez was the one expected to win w/ everything changing around him, w/a poor OL, w/ LR issues, etc...
And how is that worse than Sanchez choking under the pressure when the season and playoffs were on the line?

Sanchez played poorly no doubt, I don't think he choked. He's been in a million big games already, he's not afraid of the moment, Moore and Fitz have never played in a big game.

Fitz and Sanchez are yard trash picked up by the wayside. The longer these franchises believe they are set, the better off we will be.

there's a much better chance Miami wins the SB this year than tebow takes over for Sanchez barring injury. Tebow won't even be the #2 QB.

Yeah Ryan will never let his boy Sanchez ride the pine. They just gave him a 40 million dollar apology deal, an absolute joke. No quarterback in NFL history has been rewarded more for piss poor play than Mark Sanchez. Even when he is having a good game he looks absolutely average.
Unless Rex wants to get fired Tebow will take over for Sanchez at some point in the season. Sanchez is a child that is more concerned with being a NYC celebrity than winning games. You can tell by his demeanor on the side line. Whenever a great QB ends a drive on a punt/td/turnover whatever they are over on the sideline talking with the OC/qb coach looking at pictures whatever trying to get better. Sanchez sits down on the bench and laughs and jokes with whoever is around him. He is a child that is not ready to be an NFL quarterback and probably never will.
The locker room will turn on Sanchez as soon as Tebow gets in their and shows them what a real leader at quarterback looks like.

2009: Miami finishes 2 games behind Jtes, Jets make title game
2010: Miami finihses 4 games behind Jets, Jets make Title game
2011: Miami finihses 2 games behind Jets

I'm glad you are better off

09: jets and Fins both 7-7 but Fins not off a recent 1-6 losing streak. Fins faced teams actually competing to win. Jets got gifted 2 ceremonial wins. Scheduling quirk that was quickly rectified as a result of the abuse. Had the Fins played the Bengals and Indy, they could well have been the 9-7 playoff bound team.

No, Moore was not better than sanchez and Fitz. Moore came into a situation where he had no pressure to win, Moore has had multiple chances in this league to start and has only succeeded when he had no pressure to win(much like Fitz). Sanchez has been the QB of a team that made 2 title games in 3 years and had a "bad" season at 8-8 which is better than Fitz and Moore have ever had.

Matt Moore is a great solution as a backup QB and not the worst solution as a short term starter, he's just not a guy you can win w/ or should build around. Don't make the same mistake Buf did and overpay for a good backup to be your starter.

jeff ireland thanks you nyjunc! laughable. im so friggin glad buffalo is stuck to fitzpatrick and yes, that sanchez is stuck to you, although tebow gonna rock his ass good. waste of money. big huge stinking waste.

Who owns the NFL record for the longest drive for a TD in history and against what (supposedly great defense) team was it achieved?

Why is this still being talked about?

Personally scares me more if Tebow were to get in there at QB. He may not be a real QB, but he continues to win at the end by finding ways to drive the team for the score....very dangerous, while with Sanchez, unless something crazy happens at the end for him (Which amazing enough does seem to happen now and then), he will choke or just flat out lose the game.

Sanchez was riding on the back of a top 5 O'line, top 5 D & IMO one of the best ST coaches in NFL. His QBR proves it. No matter what u want to say about QBR, if u are barley hitting 80 u r shyte. Once the O'line waned and D lapsed, everyone saw Sanchez for what he is.......but the Jets made the same mistake as Bills...........overpayed on a backup QB!
