Why Are The Other AFC East Teams Set At QB?

Junc, I don't care when the Jets collapsed last year a good QB finds a way to outscore an offense missing their best RB (who was tearing it up) their best OL, best TE and have an interim HC. Not to mention a 5-10 record. I think you are one of the very few people on the planet who truly believed in Mark Sanchez, time will tell.

The team was done after the previous 2 losses. Mark Sanchez has found ways to win in NE and Indy on the road in the playoffs, facing Miami in week 17 wasn't intimidating to him- the team just stunk including him.

People are just piling on the Dolphins because we struck out on Manning and Fisher. Everyone is going to blame Ireland (the fall guy) but in reality it's a 2 way street. There are 31 other teams that didn't land Manning and Fisher too.

With Tebow laning in New York, we should all be thankful that the media circus is going to turn their venom towards the Jets.

How Tennanbaum walks out of this unscathed would be shocking to me, bu both the media and fans.

Then again, It's far too easy to pile on Ireland, but the jets GM did an equally BS move.

But we'll see.

How so? he added more talent to our roster, his teams have made 3 postseasons since he took over in 2006 and won 4 playoff games. We are one year removed froma title game app, does Ireland have that credibility built up?

I guess nobody told that to the Jets GM.

It sounds like they will get rid of Stanton, that was based upon Stanton still being here but either way he's not playing QB outside of the WC unless Sanchez is hurt.

I think that will be the case as well. How can it not be when they guaranteed Sanchez the money they did for the next 2 years. Who knows though? I could definitely see the NY fans chanting for Tebow when Sanchez plays poorly. And we all know he will at some point. I think it will get ugly at some point during the season.

There's no doubt if sanchez plays they way he did late last year we'll see Tebow chants but even w/o Tebow chants we would have seen Stanton or McElroy chants. Fans are impatient. Hopefully he gets off to a quick start and puts 2011 far behind him.

Don't judge using ratings, neither QB was good last year but again Moore's "success" came after the season was over and he had no pressure to win.

Moore was in an easy situation, he had no pressure. Sanchez was the one expected to win w/ everything changing around him, w/a poor OL, w/ LR issues, etc...

Just wait and see what Sparano can do for your OL, that's when Sanchez will have real pressure!!! Hope you have an all star kicker to at least make Sparano make some fist pumps!!!!! The Bills at least will have their best weapon returning (Jackson) but your team will have the brand new OC that can NEVER made adjustments after halftime an inspires the players congratulating them after a f****ed up play!!!

i dont even understand how there is an argument now

The Jets went after Peyton Manning (even though Junc will deny it as usual) even if you really believe they really didnt want him, why would they just not come straight out and say it???

So after Peyton openly denies the Jets and comes out and says he did not have interest in the Jets, just so happens a few days later the Jets turn around and give a QB who just went 8-8 and choked down the stretch and who has a carrer 55TDs and 51Ints and a 73 QB rating a extension and more money.....becasue that makes sense.....

oh wait theres more......Sanchez is made to look like the franchise QB

Then the same team a week later trades a 4th and 6th and pays an extra $2.5 million for a QB with the worst completiton percentage in the NFL last season (oh by the way the Jets not have 2 of the top 5 worst passers in the NFL in terms of completion percentage) the most controversial most famous backup QB in the world, thats a real way to show you believe in Sanchez

with the trade for Tebow i honestly dont know how you can still say the Jets have full confidence in Sanchez that he is their Franchise QB

He's an OC now not a HC, in his only season calling plays he ran a top 5 offense.

Your Ols were good enough to have excellent run games inn3 of his 4 seasons.

The Jets never went after Peyton, HOF QBs don't shake free often and they explored their options. The entire offseason has seen them make moves w/ Sanchez in mind. There was no chance(unless he came for incredibly cheap) that the Jets would go after Peyton.

Peyton never openly denied the Jets, don't confuse us w/ the dolphins who thought they were getting Peyton.

The Jets extended Sanchez, he's helped us to 2 title games in his 3 seasons here. In his "bad" season he posted his best #s and helped us to 8-8 which dolphin fans would do cartwheels over if you ever won 8 games again.

Sparano called the plays, however he was not an OC. Most of those successful plays were designed by Todd Haley as Tony was responsible for the RBs and OL. Considering there were over 3800 yards passing and 1900 yards running and even just calling Haley's plays, he had Terry Glenn and TO both with a combined 1250 yards, Witten 750 and even with the run jones and Barber combining for over 1700, the jets don't have the horsepower to approach that offense's potency. And then there's Bledsoe and Romo vs Sanchez and Tebow. Bottom Line: Sparano called plays where 66% of the offense reflected Haley, his designed plays and executed by a cadre of receivers better receivers than the jest have. The Jest were right in taking a shot at Haley, the guy who really was more responsible for the majority of the offense than Tony. But nice try. :idk:

Incidentally, Sparano did so well calling mostly Haley's plays in 06 that Jerry Jones gave that function to Jason Garrett in 07 where he actually put up 100-200 more total offensive yards.

ahhh the great Todd haley was responsible. The excuses continue.... Haley almost came here, what would your excuse have been if we had him?
