Ricky Williams, unless I'm seriously wrong, will be gone next season, so why are we using him so much? shouldn't we be using Ronnie Brown a lot more? isn't HE the back of the future? why wait until next year to use him to full potential? I know Ricky is good, but it just seems that there is something missing in his game.

Slow down , let's look at things. Is this the year you want Ronnie to have 25 -30 carries a game? Have you seen our stud : ( Pick one )

A(QB
B(O Line
C(Secondary
D( All of the above

Me , let them switch off.

We have RW locked in for another year at <3/4ths of a mil or some such great value....im not sure of his exact salary and im too tired to go look it up but its a sweet value considering what he can do

Name a better backup RB for less money?

Deal with it, hes staying. Actually, there's a good chance there will be an extension since we have cap room to carry over into next year and the only way that cap room gets carried over is if we use that money this year toward extensions/renegotiations for the future.

- Backups command even more money if they have some value and are FA's.

I think the idea is to kind of showcase him to possibly trade. if we don't he still owes like 7 mil. And maybe we keep him to playout his contract cheap.

While I really do not care for the dreaded one anymore. I can see the value he could have if he has the desire to finish out his contract.

How are we using him so much...? Did I miss something... we're hardly using him at all.

- The plan is to use him at Bar Mitzvahs, Reunions , Birthday parties ,Bat Mitzvahs, Anniv...you get the picture.

Exactly and they dont have half the talent or resume while still being only 28 or 29 years old.

I just posted a thread identical to yours (Serious question from Bills fan)...I agree Ricky is done and Ronnie is your future.

Exactly. Every carry given to Ricky is a carry that should have gone to Ronnie or Sammy if Ronnie is winded and needs a series off. We don't have the line to feature two RBs like KC with Holmes and Larry Johnson so pick a back and stick with him. That back is Ronnie. Ricky isn't the bruising back he once was and Ricky running east and west just doesn't sound right. 3rd and long shotgun I wouldn't mind seeing both backs in, one to block and one running a route or running a draw play. Ronnie can pick up blitzers all day long and Ricky can barely chip a DE. Give Ronnie the ball and keep Ricky fresh in case (God forbid) Ronnie goes out of the game. Until Ricky regains his bruising running style there's no reason to waste carries on him because he's still not strong enough to play like the real Ricky and Ronnie is beginning to get the hang of this rushing attack IMO. He'll eat NOs LBs and DBs alive if our line allows him to do so.

Simply because IF the thinking by Saban is to try to trade him, unless he can prove he is back there won't be any interest. Afterall, he's still just one toke away from a season's susp. So Saban has to give him every opportunity to show that he is the RW of old. The luxury we have with Brown is just gravy and since this is his rookie season, it actually could work in our favor to give him less of a workload until he works thru the rookie wall that usually shows up in early December. It's a smart organizational decision to have RW back. He can only help us this year. Even if he doesn't prove much this season or quits again, he comes very cheap to us. If Saban can put him into a position to show his wares again, then we win either by production or by increasing his trade value....

#34 will finish his carear in Miami and given a few more games to get into things again you will be glad...

Why waste Ronnie playing for a last place team? RB's have short shelf lives, save the wear and tear on Ronnie.

Well if were to trade him would you rather him have 1200 yards or 300 yards when a team is assessing his value?

As for playing Ronnie more, look at Caddy in Tampa.

Why are people still lying to themselves about Gus?
