We have two great backs and no QB. We should be running it down peoples throats. I dont get it.

Because the other team will know when we are running all the time. And we will eventually get shut down. Wasn't everyone upset Wanny ran all the time, now we actually pass and everyone is upset. HIPOCRITS! :fire:

Have you seen the team our offensive coordinator use to coach for ,and the type of plays they called? He's a pass first kind of guy. When he gets his guy at QB you guys will then complain that we aren't passing enough. When Wanny was here everyone wanted to know why we ran so much when we just had Ricky ,now that we actually throw the ball down field you guys wanna complain about that. Give me a break and just stick behind your team.

dude, we were running the ball down their throats when they knew all week long we would run ronnie ricky. The deal is that we have two great RB's who know how to fake the crap out of somebody and then bull rush them into submission and yet we have to pass somehow! We killed New Orleans with Ronnie Ricky and we were killing Atlanta! Then we pass, and when we do pass, it doesnt even go past the line of scrimmage.

The problem with that assumption is that we only had ricky then, now we have Ronnie Ricky. In case anyone has noticed. They can take over a game together with fresh legs and power. It doesnt take a brainsurgeon ya know.

Well why don't you call the game next week against the Pats. You know what else is funny if we beat the patriots next week you will all say Saban and Linehan are both Gods

you have to go with the personell we have. if we have two guys that are running the ball well you have to go with it and pound it on 3rd and 2.
that BS of wait till next year until the coaches have the qb and personell that fits in is for loser.:shakeno:

I wanted us to pass more this year but I do think we pass too much and we dont utilize our strength at the right time which is the running game.
 
your OC runs a pass first offense. he MIGHT come around, to see the light, and return to a more ballanced O.
 
For all who thinks, this is the same as Wanny!

Wanny wasn't a moron because he had a run first mentality. He was a moron for never wavering from it. Linehan may have more creative plays, but he's on the fence right now, as far as I'm concerned.

What all coaches need to do is ADAPT!!!!!!!!! Adapt to your own teams limitations, the other's teams limitations. There should never be such a thing as a run-first, pass-first offense. If one thing is working use it, if not try something else. I am sick and tired of hearing about these ridiculous philosophies! The only philosophy, should be is, whatever it takes to win!!

spurrier wouldn't adjust his style of coaching to the NFL or to his personnel, and he failed. linehan needs to realize this.
