I go crosseyed trying to figure out why we are paying Tebucky Jone 6.5 Million $ a year. It's like trying to prove the gunman on the grassy knoll theory. It's impossible.

Why are we paying him that kind of money? Why?

We didn't pay him that last year. That was a 2nd year option that we never meant to fulfill.

We're not...

He didn't make that much money last year. I'm sure he'll either take a paycut or get released.

wahtever the reason was, it will not continue (I beleive). That will be one of the first (and maybe biggest) changes made.

Did he do anything to prove he warrants more than the Veterans minimuum? I didn't see it if he did.

That cap page is for this year coming up, It is like an option that the team of course would not pick up.

Check the Salary Cap page if you want to see evidence.

That's for this upcoming season. He's not getting that much money.

Why haven't we seen him restructured yet?

Cause he's getting cut and the we save the total amount in cap savings.

Because he'll probably be released. We haven't made our pre-FA moves yet.

Saban and Mueller haven't started swinging the axe yet to cut away at the dead wood and the salary cap, but it's coming soon!

leadership on the field before he got injured he played well I see him making 1.5 mil a year wich I think is fair more than that we should cut him loose

Balls...he'll probably restructure or be cut and possibly re-signed later. There are other safeties out there. His contract was set up to be, in reality, a 1 year contract. A stop-gap because we had no starting safeties and questions with a few young guys. He did, however, begin to play up to his potential until getting hurt...he, like the rest of the secondary struggled with Saban's system until after mid-season. Jones shouldn't have, having played the system in NE. If he's back, it'll be again at a manageable cap figure...Besides, Bell played pretty well and I would think that re-signing Bell is more of a priority than Jones...
