Flynn signed for barely starting money to go fight for a job with Tavaris freaking Jackson and we are spilling our guts cause we missed out on this "franchise" QB? Really? You guys amaze me. The league obviously didn't see this guy even in Kolb's or Cassels' sratoshpere. Flynn can't even carry their jockstraps.

Again, why are you guys freaking out over a QB who signed for 8 mil a year and only 10 mil signing bonus, that should tell you right there what Seattle really thinks of Flynn.

Hmm he makes 8 millio a year jackson makes like 2 million flynn will be the starter

Actually, I've seen some revised numbers and Flynn will only make 6 mil a year and only get to 8 with incentives, so why all the gnashing of the teeth?

Here is the amzing thing you fail to understand. Moore is our starting QB and is in the last year of his contract. On top of that philbin and GM are desparate to find someone who fits with the WCO since it is clear they dont think Moore can do it. Hence why we have a 34 year old QB who lost his job to Blaine Gabeert coming in tomorrow. You my friend just put together an amazing thread with you amazement of our amazement of what the hell is happening if you could care to explain it.

We are now working on giving Smith a better contract offer than SF (3 year 24 million) to be our starter.

the saddest part is, most of the people who were clamoring for Flynn probably never even watched the tape on him...

The guy looked slow, not athletic at all, and weak armed...

he reminded me a LOT of matt moore. decent accuracy, good touch, but bad arm strength and very bad mobility.

Our coaching staff was at least smart enough to realize that Moore > Flynn all things considered.

And all this is just speculation of course. Moore is better than Smith or Flynn so why spend money on QB's you don't even need. Even if Manning signs with the 9'ers I can almost guarantee that Smith is still not coming here. They are trying to get a cheap QB to come and push Moore and will draft a QB or wait till next years deep QB class.

I think we need QB's because we really don't have any on the roster now. We need another veteran in case Moore goes down and then we draft a QB. Losing out on Manning hurts but these other QB's are about Moore's level so it's not that big of a deal.

We are like the guy at the bar again, alone again on Friday night. We have not score in a couple of years. We got a fleeting smile from a Cougar so we sent her a drink and she is now sitting with a couple of other guys. There was a decent looking younger chick that was talking to us but she left with someone else. We just had a drink with someone that we are pretty sure is just using us to make her boyfriend jealous. So now we are starting to hit on a older ugly woman and feeling like even if we take her home it will suck.

As Dolphin fans, we have a massive set of Blue Balls.

So, wait, because Seattle signed a very smart contract with Flynn, low guaranteed money, short-term, incentives, that means we are supposed to not freak out??? That is all the more reason to freak out, because last time I checked, this sad, pathetic excuse for a team doesn't even have a viable back up to Matt Moore, who is no better than a backup himself.

There is no logic to your thread. Even if we wanted Flynn to compete with Moore, it makes sense to sign him. And because Kolb & Cassel got bigger contracts from the Cards & Chiefs, that means what, exactly? Kolb & Cassel were mistakes, Flynn signed for a more team-friendly deal.

This is completely silly.

Seattle was the only other teams that wanted this guy, and for peanuts, there was no bidding war for FLynn, in fact it was the opposite of a bidding war, it was a low-balling war. The Dolphins didn't see this guy as any better than Moore and they weren't going to pay him that kind of money. You should be happy that we dodged this bullet. The next bullet to dodge is Alex Smith. . .

I am much more concerned about dodging the bullet of watching Matt Moore try to QB this team with Davone Bess & Brian Hartline as his top targets. Signing a guy like Flynn (or even Alex Smith) would allow the Dolphins to shoot for a top WR in the draft. Without signing Flynn or Alex Smith, an idiot like Ireland might reach for Tannehill, or even trade up for him. And that would be the biggest disaster of all.
