Tua time!
you guys do realize that the only reason that richard marshall came here was cause zona wouldn't match...he said so himself...
What "tape"? You mean the TV feed?
Seriously, stop with the "watch tape/film" on a player. Unless you're with an NFL team, NFL Network, or NFL Matchup, you're not getting anything that any other fan can't get. And there's simply little knowledge to gain from it besides statistical - even for "skill" players, on which the camera is usually on.
Tell me, what plays were called (on both O and D) in *any* of Flynn's games played? Hell, I'd be satifisfied with one. Use whatever terminology you like; just make sure to justifiy it with video. I'll save you some time: there's no way to tell, because you can't make out the routes of every receiver (sometimes, not even of one) and it goes double for the D. Hard to make out the blocking assignments without an endzone look, too. And I'll make the relevance of my question clear: it's hard to criticize a QB for a "bad pass" without knowing the backstory.
FWIW, I didn't like the idea of signing Flynn to a blockbuster deal. But to use the "tape" argument... I just think it's weak.
I think by now coach Philbin is familiar with Matt Flynn and has studied plenty of game and practice tape on him. Philbin's full-on endorsement of Flynn would have ensured that he was a Dolphin. Obviously he was heavily prorated by our resident Flynn expert such that he is now the next hopeful QB in Seattle. I don't know what the QB solution is, but I trust our new coach to get this one right; just like I trust our new OC to know the exact value of Ryan Tannehill.
