Why are YOU so happy?

What is the biggest reason for your optimism?

Defense is improved and Ricky IS back. I see improvement on the O-line and I see coaches actually coaching.

I'm happy about each of those you've listed. Yet the "biggest" reason for my optimism is Nick Saban.

Why? Because of the messages he keeps sending to this team, the fans and the media. Those nice little one liners are more than quality sound bites for the media. He's communicating that, above all else, he wants an army of players who are mentally prepared, mentally tough and focused on each and every play in an effort to achieve one common goal, excellence. He drives a hard bargain and he's not afraid to tell you. IMO, that degree of vision, motivation, discipline and drive in a team comes from the coach first, then the leading players that buy into it, then the whole team, right down to the guy collecting towels in the locker room.

I have hope, because Nick Saban has hope!
