So why isnt Ginn getting the ball? Oh yeah he SUCKS!

Understand this, people. We have played not 3, 4, or 5 games. We just finished our 6th and Ginn is as non-existential as ever.

People on this site think that if we get a solid possession receiver thats gonna fix everything. In your dreams, fellas. We would still have a gap for our 2nd receiver because Ginn blows.

People on this site also think that the issue is really with the person throwing the ball and not Ginn.

UNDERSTAND THIS - CHAD PENNINGTON IS QUITE POSSIBLY THE SMARTEST QB IN THE LEAGUE AND THE MOST ACCURATE IN NFL HISTORY. IF HE DOESNT THROW THE BALL TO YOU IT MEANS YOU ARE FREAKING WORTHLESS! For all those people calling for him to get benched or his arm is too weak yada yada i want you to follow Cameron to baltimore and never, ever come back. You obviously dont know squat about football, let alone dolphins football. If the organization were to listen to you we'd have another lame duck at QB ala Beck because if you put Henne out there, chances are that his confidence would get destroyed and he would begin resembling Beck, and all those people htat know absolutely nothing about football would be on these boards talking about how much Henne sucks. (remember Joey Harrington and Detroit? Everyone thought he would be a stud if he didint have the bad experience of playing for the lions)

Ted Ginn is a rich man's slot receiver and a poor man's number 2. He looked kinda decent returning kicks and thats it. There is no doubt in my mind that he didint even deserve to go in the first round of the draft, let alone number 9. Everytime i see his name mentioned on this site i just detest Cameron even more for what he screwed us with.

In defense of the most overrated thing in a dolphin's uniform since Culpepper, i will say that i'm shocked with what kind of routes they give him and the way they utilize them. The kid is blazing fast, so it would make sense to use him on a drag route and just let him get into open space. Set up a WR screen maybe. Hell even a slant/short post would be nice once in awhile.

Camarillo, Martin, Cobbs (and hes not even a WR!), Fasano, Bess have all produced more than Ginn, and 3 of the above mentioned arent even starters and they are producing much better than our supposed #1. Give me a break.

Lets hear some thoughts/flames and/or whines.

Ginn has major issues creating seperation and is getting his route jumped on due to his size.... he is also manhandled at the line in tight coverage Ginn is fast but it takes a bit for him to build up speed, needs to work on his quickness and strength

I won't even bother getting into the Ginn argument with you so I'll just say that Chad Pennington isn't the most accurate passer in NFL history he just has the highest completion percentage. They aren't the same thing.

None of this is true. Do you even watch him play? He hasn't had a problem getting off the line and he has been able to create separation.

I still don't see how you guys say that he sucks, when in reality no one is making an attempt to see how good he really he is at receiver, so far he has done just fine, he caught most if not all passes that got to him today

splain, Lucy, splain.... how aren't they related...his ypc is I believe in the 8-10 yard area so it can't be blamed on the "dink and dunk" passes

Watching the games you can clearly see that a majority of his passes are short passes which are much easier to convert. That's why QB's in west coast offenses tend to have higher completion percentages; because they throw shorter passes. Completing a pass doesn't mean you made an accurate pass it just means that you threw a ball that was close enough to catch which isn't necessarily accuracy. Dan Marino has a lower career completion percentage than Chad Pennington but I can guarantee that Marino had better accuracy.

Every game and yes he has had issues creating seperation when one on one... can you explain why he hasn't caught many balls the season and why he has gotten downfield... it's not Penny's arm, if Ginn could get open regularly balls would come his way... and he does get chucked off his routes at times....every wideout does, his size doesn't make it easy for him

Isn't throwing a ball that was "close enough to catch" being accurate.... most teams game plans are a majority of short passes... Penny has completed quite a lot of intermediate throws this year look at the stats

I'm just curious how many games you've seen in person because that is the only way that you would have any idea whether he has issues getting off the line and creating seperation.

So what you're saying is that you're just assuming that he gets chucked off his routes because he is small? So you don't actually know do you?

Are you at the games in person, if so please enlighten me... I record the games and critic them the week following so it is difficult to see what is happening all the time however these are some of my observations through the replays and what I can see during the play...

The funny thing about this post is that Pennington targeted Ginn more than any other player today. It just so happens that he widely under/overthrew him on multiple occasions.

And despite that, Ginn still came away with 4 grabs for 48 yards. This just seems like another example of perception not meshing with reality.

I've only been to one game actually. I'm not saying what Ginn can do I am saying that watching the TV feed you can't possibly see what Ginn is doing. As soon as they hike the ball the wr's run off screen.

Then how can you know none of what i say is true if you're not seeing it either ... these are my observations from what I can tell and I believe thats why he is not getting the ball, but hey I could be wrong....

what did you see at the live game in terms of his performance?
