Anyone see a point? Saban will do as he must, but here's hoping he feels Brown is ready and not worth the risk...

I feel Brown is our most important player, by far... Even over Culpepper ...

He just runs so hard, and refuses to go down, even when a guy has him locked up...

He seems to have the playbook down, both run & pass, and his timing as a runner is spot on, IMHO, ... this despite some pretty disorganized run-blocking and conservative play calling...

There is no need for this guy to be on the field/infield vs. St. Lous ... Save it for Pittsburgh... Maybe Chambers also... One drive, at most...

as the #2 pick and 20 million signing bonus player, we assume/demand greatness! ronnie's "ronnie". his college coach said cadillac was a better natural runner. ronnie is not a natural runner. he is a big, strong, fast guy that plays running back. he runs tall with a narrow base ( somewhat knoc-kneed) needs to gather himself to cut, and, as a result is not shifty and gets tripped up a lot. since he's not a "natural" that means he has poor run vision and that's why he stutter steps a lot. having ripped him because he's not the next barry sanders / jim brown that we expected for a #2 pick, he should still be a very productive player (barring injury). if the o-line gives ronnie enough room to get his 235plus going he can be a featured back because of his size, speed, strength. ronnie has the potential to be "very good" but not "special". let's keep it all in perspective. and yes we do need a complimentary back to ronnie a fast shifty speedy instinctive back i.e. deangelo williams, lawrence moroney... oh, that's right, they were available when we selected jason Allen.

Yeah Brown and most of the 1st stringers will only play 1 or 2 series at the most.....The fourth game is mostly to see what makes the team and who doesnt for the backups. What we do need to do it play the first string o-line for like a half just so they can get some chemistry and maybe actually run block well for once.

I missed the game last night but I checked up the stats... was it for real... Ronnie Brown completed a pass for 22 yards?

Ronnie Needs the Work...

He seems to get stuffed alot and gets better as the games goes on...

Ronnie will get it going-Carolina has a sick front 4 guys. On another note, I just got the six pick in my draft so now I can pick Ronnie with no hesitation.

I hope all the starters play one series next week and then rest up for the opener. Nobody needs to play next week

Starters will play a very limited number of downs, 4th preseason game is mostly for backups to decide who gets cut and who doesn't. Besides Saban wants to rest his starters so they're bull-bore for Pittsburgh.

And I didn't know Ronnie was a lefty until he threw that pass last night! You know since the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body and vice-versa, only us left handed people are in their right minds! Go Lefty's!

Wow...

He stuggles running against the best D-line in the game... and people start writing this crap.

Forget the fact that he was still very productive in the receiving(and passing) game

You clearly have not seen Ronnie play very much.

Yep, and he's left handed.

i agree. i wouldnt even have Ronnie suit up if it was up to me. hes gotten alot of carries this preseason. Sammy Morris hasnt had that many, i say give the load to him, minor, and kay jay.

I'd say give Minor, Harris, and Riggs the load because one of them definitely won't make the final roster, maybe two of them if we keep Barnes and Beasley. Lets see what they got.
