Chris Long makes "no" sense because we would not be UPgrading our roster. We already have a Pro Bowl player there with Jason Taylor still making Pro Bowls. Jake Long makes "some" sense, since he would be UPgrading the LT spot and moving Vernon Carey over to RT. "But", we could do that with the #32 pick, since this draft's deepest position is OT.

Matt Ryan makes the "most" sense, because he is UPgrading our QB position by "exponents" over John Beck and he is a "franchise QB", which Tony Sparano is quoted as stating that "franchise QB" playing at a high level is the most important and crucial position in making a team a playoff contender. Also, we have two "backup" types at QB and "need" that "franchise" QB.

why putting "quotations" around "quantitative" words makes "no" sense

"JT" "will" "not" "be" "a" "Pro" "Bowl" "player" "by" "the" "time" "we" "turn" "things" "around".

Am I the only person still around here excited about John Beck's future? For the life of me I can't understand the M. Ryan love fest. Granted I didn't watch a lot of his games but the ones I did he didn't blow me away. A few good games and a bunch of average at best games.

How well do you think JT will be playing by the time we actually make the playoffs again? C. Long makes "perfect" sense. So does J. Long

Did you have to start another thread stating the exact same things you have already made numerous times before? It has gone beyond old and is downright boring.

If people weren't down on Ryan before, they soon will be with all these unnecessary and baseless threads.

I rather get Chad Henne or falcco with our 2nd pick and trade out of that pick and get Golston

Love all the posts with quotation marks

Please NO MORE posts about Matt Ryan. SO sick of hearing why he is better why he is worse. Geez wherever he goes he is a pro . i dont want him but let this thing go to bed.

As T.Romo was developing into the franchise QB he got what everyone wants on this team for J.Beck TIME. He wasn`t thrown to the wolves like Beck was, he was allowed time to develope and had one of the biggest gaffes in football to help his team lose to Seatle when the game was in the bag for them. That was a big mistake and what happened, he came back the next year as the franchise QB.
J.Beck just needs TIME, time to throw, time to actually hand the ball off and time to develope into our franchise QB. T.Romo stepped into a team with probowlers everywhere much the same as Big Ben, we have the oppurtunity to allow Beck to develope with the rest of our young guys and become special for us.
M.Ryan has one advantage over Beck and that is 1 and a half inches of height, sorry two actually having Mayock as his secret admirer helps too!!
C.Long not upgrading this team is just a plain ignorant statement, we`re 1-15 and couldn`t stop anything we would be lucky to have him or J.Long on our roster.

I am looking forward to seeing what Beck will do this up coming season. Adding Jake Long makes "alot" of sense, since he would be UPgrading the LT spot and moving Vernon Carey over to RT, where he appears to be much a better fit. Jake Long could potentially upgrade our offensive line (in at least two spots) and the overall line play which would translate into better QB play (helping Beck) and our running game (which again helps the passing game).

M. Ryan only makes the most sense IF you think he is a franchise QB.

I dont want Ryan if you use that logic The jets need Ryan the ravens, browns, Jags, texans, Bills, Chiefs, Raiders, Vikings, Lions, Bears, Bucs, Panthers, Falcons and 49ers need him because it would be an upgrade over current QB's on their rosters. But last time i checked most of those teams (6) are ok/playoff teams KEY WORD TEAM one player cannot turn us around. J long anchors our line for 12 years and completes a young athletic line to protect Beck and open holes for LoBo and Ronnie so that make ALOT of sense to me. C long or Gholston at DE/OLB gives us great young talent and depth for them to learn which is VERY VERY important in a 3-4 the more LB's the better so that makes ALOT of sense. Teams win by the 22-30 guys you put out there act as a cohesive unit and complement each other in order to win. Right now we need a QB who manages game who has a good head on his shoulders and can throw it a mile if need be. and in a nutshell THATS JOHN BECK. so no Matt Ryan EVER EVER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Jason Taylor might not be a Dolphin so we may need a 3-4 outside guy.

2. Jake Long would most likely play RT for us and we'd have Carey at LT

3. Matt Ryan isn't going to be a franchise QB wherever he goes. We have to give Beck a chance, if we had Marino on last years team, and it was his rookie year, Marino wouldn't have put up great numbers either.

Jake Long is the best pick, ive been saying it all along. Matt Ryan is not the answer and I couldnt begin to fathom the ramifications of picking him and then not turning out.
