With all of those 3rd down conversions against us and or Off. going 3 and out alot of the time, it sure dosen't make it enjoyable watching the last few games. We sure have been playing against alot of top defenses this year. With our struggles on offense it sure would help if we could stop all these completions on 3rd down. Not trying to get too down, we only won 4 games this year, I truly feel we will get better! Not only over the next few years but this year too!

When we stop the other team on 3rd down...we usually get hit with a late hit on the QB, or a pass interference, or holding, or some unsportsmanlike conduct...I dont know how many penalties we had today but we had 10+ penalties in the first 4 games...you dont win when you give the other team 2nd and 3rd chances...that is why our D cant get off the field.

The quick slants were open all day on 3rd and 5, and we never did anything to stop them from using it against us....
The run defense looked spent, and the pass rush was almost non-existant when it mattered. Our secondary flat out stinks....
Bottom Line : Our defense isn't as good as advertised. Especially on the road...

our linebackers can't blitz to save their lives. no pressure on the QB, plus no additional help on the receivers, and you're going to complete passes all day long. the result would be the same if we just took the linebackers off of the field for 3rd down
