I can't understand it. They are suppose to be big on conditioning yet it seems they wear down late in games. Are opposing offenses that much better at making halftime adjustments? I can't understand why the defense has so many problems late in games. Buffalo was really the only complete game. They have played great at times but never seem to finish. The first Jets game they give up a late score and force the offense to win it. The second Jets game Sanchez is moving the ball late, they give up a 4th and 10, they were on the ropes but finally Starks made a play that gave them just enough momentum. Now maybe that 2nd Jets game they had quick scores which hurt time of possession but usually they seem to control the clock pretty well on offense. The Saints game was an absolute disaster in the 2nd half. Yesterday they let the Bucs come right back and force the offense to have to win it. Even though the turnover late didn't help they never should have let Tampa back in that game. What is the problem and how do they fix it?

It's pretty simple to me. We have a entirely new secondary basically cept for Jones and Bell. The starting corners are promising but are being baptized by fire. The front seven is littered with aging stars, replacements, and unknowns. The defense has to learn to close a game before they can do it regularly. Sean Smith needs to improve his trailing techniques he's been owned recently by simple double moves. Good ones don't stay down forever though so we'll see.

Pasq. is as big a culprit as anybody on the D.....when your defense is causing havoc for QB's in the 1st half because of the pressure your bringing....why do you stop and rush only 3 or 4 in the 2nd half??? It has been the story for Pasq all year long. Saw the same thing again on Sunday. We'll probably see it again on Thursday.

Exactly the problem AF7. They play not to lose in the second half and if the opposition gets on a roll, it's tough to get the momentum back. I normally don't get mad when I watch the game but yesterday I was cursing both Paulie P and Henning. It is getting really old with these 2 and their play calling.

Failed to put this in as one of my talking points but the conservative blitz packages in the second half is about as productive as a hermit. Paul P is gunna have to rethink his strategy.

the reason we are having so much problem in the 4th qtr, is the opposing coordinators are using the first 3 to get a grasp on what were doing, they make adjustments, WE DONT.

1. The pass rush absoultely disappears in the 2nd half... even if we blitz.

2. The offense is called and played so conservatively when we are up that it is just sickening. And it costs us. If the D can't fix this problem, which it seems they can't, the offense needs to put the game away and the playcalling has to stop be called 'not to lose'

Figured this'd be obvious to you OF ALL PEOPLE NORTON! we're the Ralph Kramden's of the league...we just can't finish! Ooooooh-ho-hew we talk a good game, and we start at good game; but come the 4th quarter - *BANG! ZOOM!* we're outta there...

Why cant our defense finish a game? 3 simple answers

1) Our LBs arent that good
2) Our secondary is inexperienced
3) We get outcoached
