Or at least good?

Seriously - why are we SO mediocre?

We have the talent.

The mistakes we make as a team are clearly redundant.

Why does it take 3 games to have Ajayi play more - he is the kind of back that wears a defense out.

It would rest our defense - give Tannehill some time in the pocket.

Our team is weird!

In the NFL if something is working why stop.

I am truly interested in fans response to this question - what is holding us back?

We can't help ourselves. Since Marino we have been so used to it that they figure, why change it? People still show up. Essentially the equivalent of "Fu k you. You'll buy it."

We have the talent? Have you seen who are LBs are? Which one of them are a difference maker? You cannot be great if you don't have a difference maker/game changer at the key positions.

Ajayi hasn't played more because he was behind in the playbook. If he gained the coaches trust during training camp he might have played more or even avoided getting placed on IR.

What I see on GREAT teams, is that the coaches are very HARD on the players.

The types of things that our coaches go out of their way to let slide and back peddle and bend over backwards not to hurt anyone's feelings

would have coaches like Vince Lombardi, Don Shula, Bill Parcells, Jimmy Johnson, Bill Bellichick screaming and leaving scorched earth marks all over the facility.

I remember seeing the coach of the Texans when he was the OC with NE chewing out Brady, in a way that RT has NEVER been chewed out.

RT DESERVES TO BE CHEWED OUT
, and not constantly coddled and pampered

Watching the safety take the ball out to the one on an interception,

or watching almost any 3rd down play by RT would have GOOD coaches chewing out players and making ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that the player understood why that is unacceptable, and will almost always keep teams from being great

The failure of the franchise rest solely on the shoulders of the fans.

I wonder.... Maybe it's because this team has dominated for such a long time and this is the universe creating a balance... we sucked for decade and now we're mediocre for a decade. Who knows in a few years we'll be dominant again. Didn't the patriots use to completely blow? Just saying...

I opened this thread out of sheer curiosity of how many posts it would be before someone blamed the QB. Thought it would be by 3. I guess I could look at it as a positive that it took 7.

I blame Daytona

Umm the QB is a large part of the reason on why Miami has sucked since 2000

I didn't blame the QB for anything,

You don't seem to have understood anything that I wrote...
