For decades I’ve watched big time tight ends eat the Dolphins’ Defense alive. In all that time, I keep waiting for the Dolphins to get a TE to punish other defenses with, but they’ve perpetually had nothing at the position. Is it really that hard?

The last time we really had a dynamic TE threat was a few years with Randy McMichael. That’s pathetic.

There are only less than a handful of big time te’s in the league at any time. Just so happens that we haven’t had one.

Dolphins don't seem to like TEs for some reason

I dont recall Mcmichael being good

He wasn’t great, but he had 2 good seasons that actually added something to the offense. More than can be said of anyone else lately.

Maybe instead of paying Landry we pay jimmy graham. I’m not advocating for this but we tried to trade for him a few years ago. Just speculating

Pay an aged injured TE instead of a guy that has most catches in 4 years? Are you Jeff Ireland in real life or Mike Tannenbaum?

Julius Thomas sucks....and he was 17th in the league in receptions by a tight end entering today. Stud tight ends are at a premium and considering the lack of them, the only smart way to get one is to get lucky in the draft....in FA you have to way overpay.
