why can't we win the afc east this year?

i think we have a legitimate shot. i think there is a lot of talent here that has just been very poorly misused by the debacle that was the dave wannstedt so-called coaching staff (trestman excluded). we were a 10 win team for 5 years prior to that, and everything just fell apart last year when ricky quit and we hired a joke offensive coordinator. i think we have some ballers and a professional coaching staff and we are going to surprised the hell out of the so-called experts that think we'll be remotely close to the 4-12 team we were last year.

they've lost some very key players and coaches. i think this year is the start of their fast and furious decline

Many reason, but one important one. without switching to the 3-4, we get no penetration, and the Bills eat us alive. We drafted no stud Sam, so we will only be using the 4-3, better know as an over front. Which is to contain, not dismantel the O. With no Pat, it bombs away. NE just got even better, and will have a hell of a lot better TE coming back off IR from last year, that creates one nasty matchup for us, considering the WR's they now have. I keep thinking they cant get better, but every year they do. It amazes me.... Now, the jets, I just dont know what to think about them, I like Herm alot, but man, that team hit the skids bad... I just dont know what to make of what they were thinking....... That should be some easy wins for us. I see us in third place in the east this season.
 
I think we have a chance, though New England is going to make the playoffs. If New England wins the East, I think we'll still get in. Looking at our schedule 12-4 isn't out of question, if we can win week 2 at the Jets, I think we have a solid chance of being undefeated going into our bye and maybe even for a while afterwards, say midseason.

When healthy, Channing Crowder can play any LB position.

When we use the 3-4 at times, Matt Roth will be outside linebacker.

NE has been better but I think things will start to shift this year. I am more concerned with the Jets. If C.Martin runs again this year for those kind of yards they will be dangerous. And they did improve their kicking game :D
 
12-4? Playoffs? Playoffs? Give me a break. I think we could be 9-7 or 8-8 this year, and thats a reach. Its not like we have a cake walk. Damn near all of the teams we play next year were in the playoffs. I dont think theres any way we finish better than last next year in the East. The East is just so talented. Not to mention we have to play the defending SB Champions twice. And who was it said that NE will suck next year? Give me a break. Theyve added alot more to their nucleus of players, and Bellichek is a master of disguises. Homers. Thats what you all are. Homers. 12-4. Give me a break. Im gonna laugh myself to sleep.
 
Why the phins won't win the east?

Because the OL is horrible. Not addressing it in the draft and only adding one average player through FA will not cut it. Blaming the inept play on the coaching staff is horse droppings (See KC defense last season. Same dropping players with a new coaching staff resulted in no increase in production). They just need time to gel? Please. They had 16 games to figure out the diffence between their rear and a hole in the ground. It never happened. Without winning the war of the trenches, the offense will not move.

Oh, I'm sorry, I was just looking at our schedule and thinking how the Broncos, Jets, and Chiefs are likely to blow up. The Bills, Browns, Bucs, Saints and Titans are going to suck. But yeah, we'll be on par with last year with an incompetant coach, no QB, a headcase running back, we ran a stupid offense, and were killed by injuries.

Seriously people need to realize Miami lost 6 games by a TD or less! With all that went on, 6 games puts you at 10-6. We've improve on all that.

People also need to stop saying that our o-line is horrible, we don't know that. It's a different system entirely. It's like when everyone was saying Miami had to draft a power runner because that's what Wanny -- was -- doing. It's absurd. Everything is totally different this year.
