Why couldn't we get something for Randy McMichael?

We had a whole week to dump him and could of tried to get something for him. I don't understand how the Dolphins and the media just let this stuff leak out about us cutting a player. Once teams find out about that... they won't touch him... they will just wait until their cut. I could be completely wrong about this, but I thought we could get at least a fourth for him. Wow!
 
Its very simple we owed Randy a roster bonus of 3 million on Monday if we kept him.Other teams knew that we were not going to pay him 3 million.Why would they offer a draft pick for a player and bail us out of having to pay him 3 million when they figured we would cut him to save the 3 million.
 
do you think the dolphins were the only ones that knew he was due a huge roster bonus? who's gonna trade a pick for the guy if they knew he's gone one way or another
 
The front office obviously has plans for TE. None of us know what they are, so just let them work it out and we can judge the result
 
Listen, Coach Cam and Randy are both good talent evaluators. If they really thought McMichel was worth the money, they would have paid it. The word down here in Davie is that there wasn't any offers for a 4th rd pic, as it was earlier speculated. Sunday night Jimmy Cefalo stated that there werent any offers for him. So if they believed that he wasnt worth the money and there were no takers, they had no other option but to let him go.
 
Glad he's gone, would have liked to get something for him but whats done is done.
 
cmon man...my grandmother knew he was owed a 3 mil bonus.....wansstedt is coaching college now....no one would give us a free pick.....im very sure mueller tried

What dont you undertand... it's been reported there were no takers.. no thinks he is worth 3 mil a year.... what does that tell you?
He's not as good as you think he is.
 
We'll see who has the last laugh. In the case of Kevin Carter, he just signed a 4yr 25million with the Bucs... he's laughing. With Welker & Wilkinson we're doin a little chucklin. With McMike we don't know yet but he has that pitbull Rosenhaus going for him so the joke is incomplete.

Saban signed him to his extension and the 3 mil bonus.......
 
Well I would just say that he never lived up to his potential and that he didnt really have a tallented QB to get him the ball, dont think we used him to the best of his ability. He will get picked up by someoen else. Yes, why would anyone pay for him when they and everyone else knew we would probably be cutting him.
