Refresh my memory, who else was considered? Seems to me having an ex-coordinator and Head Coach would be a plus. Now, I'm not so sure.

Even Kippy Brown got us to the playoffs.

I'm not sure I ever heard a short list for the job. It seemed like Linehan was gone one day and Mularkey was Saban's top target.

I think Saban is a heck of a coach, but it may be time to consider relieving him of the GM duties. He could then focus on keeping his assitants in check (which may be all Mularkey needs). Has Saban really performed all that well in the draft? I don't see it. It seems to me that Rick Spielman's one year in charge featured better drafting than either of the last two years, and Spielman reached for Carey *and* got burned on an idiotic trade with the Vikings. Similarly, it doesn't seem that most of this year's crop of free agent signings have panned out so far.

Is it just me or does mularkey seem to have us lined up in the shot gun 80% of the time. His philosophy is power running yet he calls plays in a formation that is pass all the way. I dunno, maybe i'm just seeing things.

Offense Is The Problem. Why Can't We Score? When It Is A Passing Down It Is The Shotgun, 2nd And 4.....shotgun. When We Run He Is Under Center And It Gives The Advantage To The Defense, Eliminates Any Doubt. Why? is It Because Cullpepper Can't Back Pedal Fast Enough? There Isn't Any Playaction

Im sorry but Saban's stubborness in brushing Culpepper's struggles under the rug combined with Mularkey's peculiar play calling is dooming the Dolphins. Look we all understand Nick wants Daunte to right the ship, but our o-line is not going to get significantly better. They can't protect a guy who is just going to hold the ball taking sacks and killing drives. Mularkeys play call on 2 point conversion is inexecusable and Saban better handle that in house, absolutely terrible. Rather they just hand to Ronnie and give him a chance, but to turn him into a QB, shows how there is no confidence in Pepp

Like I said before Saban needs to demand 25-30 carries from Ronnie Brown regardless!!!!!!!!!

not sure but i bet huzienga is thinking sean payton and brees wouldve been the right decision.

So far there have been several gadget plays, so NONE have worked. I was at the game and we played in the shotgun for all but about 6 or 7 plays. This isn't college and Mularkey should resign. It was embarrassing hearing Texan fans talk about how bad our offense looks. Mularkey is turning Ronnie Brown into a receiver and Chambers into our only rushing game. But hey McMichael caught more than 1 ball today.
