Why did we cut a terrific Qb.

Just wondering. So guess we can always assume that we are hearing coachspeak until otherwise proven.

Here, let me spell it out for some of you.

Back when Jeff Ireland had his predraft press conference, he was asked a question about the quarterback situation and Jeff made the statement: "We have three terrific quarterbacks." Unfortunately, this quote was taken WAY out of context by the Beck supporters. All of the sudden, they went wild and screamed from the highest points they could find and said things to the tune of: "Look at what Jeff Ireland said you haters! He said we have three 'terrific' quarterbacks. So, that means he does like Beck, and so does the rest of the Trifecta! You haters need to stop being such meanies towards Beck, we love him!"

Ummmm.... no. See, that's not what Ireland meant when he said we have "three terrific quarterbacks." Here is the real translation: "We have two terrific quarterbacks in Chad Pennington and Chad Henne, but I will also say John Beck is terrific because I want to keep his trade value up so I can get at least a 7th round pick for him. I really don't believe he's terrific, but if I want a 7th round pick, I'll say what I have to in order to get it."

This guy gets it. X-Pacolypse understands manipulation and deception. This is essential in big business. John Beck is no where near a "terrific" QB. If he was he would have gotten more of a chance to prove it. But he's not. It is what it is. Beck is gone. We move forward without him.

Because the FO understood he got the raw deal here and now he'll have the opportunity to become the probowler everyone believes he is. Let's just hope we didn't scar him too much. BP has always been so understanding and compasionate to players needs and this just proves it all over again. The dream is still alive....run Beck run.
