Iam not getting why we drafted matt roth at #2 pick and channing crowder at #3.. We already have carter, holiday and taylor on the end..and we have plenty of lb... Iam not getting why we didnt take a Qb or wr or even a lineman.. Someone explain this 2 me please, i gotta be missing something. With our #4 pick we have 2 go 4 a Qb.. either

Andrew Walter, Arizona State
Kyle Orton, Purdue
Derek Anderson, Oregon State
Adrian McPherson, AFL

we should have taken Charlie Frye at #2...:eek:
 
Lets be honest Seau, Thomas, JT, Carter are not exactly young. I also think that QB is not as much of an issue as people think. I would of liked more picks for our Oline as I think if we want Brown or Feeley to have a decent season they will need a huge improvent compared to last years turnstilles. The other position I would like to see drafted is a DT.
 
b/c Carter and Holiday are getting older and only signed 2 year deals. Taylor isn't getting any younger either. We DO need to address the Defensive line as a whole sooner or later with Timbo and Chester's problems etc.

We can still get McPherson or Orton with a 4th rounder....
 
Besides the fact that our Defense is aging, Sabans new system requires a certain type of player. That player is a bigger/stronger type player where in the last several years we have used smaller/quicker type players. He is just getting the players he needs to implement his new Defense.
 
Andrew Walters was drafted already. Our D is old! We already have 3 qb's on the team. We need to draft players for our secondary mainly SS & FS. Hopfully these next rounds.
 
Our DL has a couple 30 yrd yets for depth, definitely a need area.

MLB? Zack is 32?, definitely another need area.

Because they were the most talented players on the board!

Like it or not our D is aging and we needed depth!
 
I've said this many times before, but out D is what has let us down more often than not in the last few years. The O has been adequate, until last year, thus our 4-12 season. The issue is that Saban is starting to fill the team with his players. ZT and JT days are numbered...they don't fit into Saban's system...I am NOT advocating that we trade or cut either of these guys without a doubt, but their days are numbered.

More importantly, in response to your question on Brown, a legitimate RB instantly makes the OL better (see what happened with RW leaving, all of a sudden the OL was worst area on the team. My contention is that the OL was the worst area on the team prior to that, but RW made them better).

It'll be interesting to see if he takes McPherson who probably has the most upside of the remaining QBs. That will tell what he thinks of the QB position on this team.
 
Zach Thomas and his hefty contract will be out of here by this time next year...............
 
You'll have no questions about the drafting of Matt Roth once you see him play. As for Crowder, his knee problems are a concern.
 
Zach Thomas and his Hefty contract isnt even close to Ray Lewis contract and Zach has never killed anyone
