Why did we fire Dan Campbell?

Because he wasn't a good head coach.

Don't make this into a Gase bashing thread. It's his 2nd game against Bill. I'd rather start slow and finish strong than to start fast and end slow, see 2015 Falcons.

Seems like he had his team alot more prepared than what I see today.

The problem is we don't or won't do either. And it never changes. That game in Seattle last week is as good as we'll look. Just watch.

Because he doesn't belong as an NFL head coach.

But honestly Gase didn't really give us any reason to believe he could be a great coach. Never understood this boards crazy idea that he was already some sort of coaching genius. He may end up good, just don't see any reason to believe it.

We didn't fire Campbell. We fired Philbin and named DC the interim guy. The team competed hard for him and went 5-7 after a 1-3 start that looked worse than the record if that's possible. I thought Campbell earned a shot at the job. If he was going to lose it to someone I would have preferred a veteran coach like Shanahan or Coughlin not another unqualified guy who has no credentials - never even played the sport at any level. SMH.

Outside a couple of games, the team looked just as lost and dead as under Philbin. He contributed nothing new and didn't prove he was worth keeping.

Because he couldn't out-coach two of the best HCs in the league in their places week 1 & 2 in his first season ever, with a team he didn't build?

He also hasn't given a reason NOT to believe. Don't overreact bud.

He simply wasn't the answer.

Is Adam Gase the answer? Still too early to tell.

Well he does, and he will... just not his time right now.

Campbell did fire Lazorfail soon enough. He screwed himself.

Man...2nd head coaching game of his career, both on the road, against super bowl perennials, both games within 1 play of winning...and we're already questioning the hire?

That offensive explosion you saw in the second half is a result of adjusting by the coach. That was a game they could have easily given up on but they made the adjustments to be within 1 play of changing everything. Jeezus...

Campbell was fun because he fired up the troops but he isn't an X&O guy. As for Gase, no matter what all the armchair coaches and gm's say in this forum, I'm going to trust the expertise of the countless people within the NFL that all agree Gase is the next big coach. He's had just two road games in places that are near impossible to win at and, yet, we're 2 plays away from 2-0. Let's give the guy a shot.
