Why did we get rid of Wes Welker again?????

I'll agree with you about hating the guy and not wanting to draft him but like the Welker/Bess analogy, we have our "burner" with Gates. It's not the players...

We definitely do, but I think Ted Ginn with the right guy on the outside is the prototypical slot receiver in the NFL. For instance, I think Houston and Detroit would become immediate Super Bowl contenders with a guy like Ginn. Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson...you have to double team these kinda dudes. And with Ginn in the slot you can't defend him one on one.

Thanks Armyfin! ~ I just didnt remember the story.

The difference I see with Welker is this guy has so much heart and puts 125% in every play and loves doing it!

no doubt he's played great in new england, but we all know he wouldn't be putting up those numbers down here.

a post like this: Its gonna be a close game, but the Dolphins still arent playing well. I think it will be close but the Dolphins will lose this one. (Fine)!!!

a post like this: Dolphins Suck man, they are the worse, Sparano sux, Dolphins will be lucky to win 1 game! Dont do this or you will be Debbie Downered!!!

Get it now??????????

You were posting those Debbie Downer gifs at just about everyone who wasn't picking us to steamroll the opponent. Don't even try to sugarcoat it with this "it will be a close game but we'll still lose" garbage. You would have posted that gif towards anyone who even said that.

Btw, how's the season looking now, Baghdad Bob?

I guarantee you that the Miami Dolphins will make the playoffs! Those who think otherwise are not real fans and don't even have half a brain!

Not even close my friend, I was posting to the overly negative trolls who had no thought behind their post. They were just blatantly trashing. Go check em! And it was annoying to come here and see that crap! So I wanted to annoy them back and it worked.

Still think it was one of the worse mistakes by the FO, players like that dont come around too often.
I don't think you understand how it happened. You should read the articles again. It's not like they cut the guy. We were lucky to get anything at all for him. Bear in mind that I hated that FO almost as much as I hate this one, but that was out of their hands.

Q: Why did the Dolphins decide to let Wes Welker go and keep Marty Booker
and Chris Chambers, when Welker was our only sure-handed receiver last year?
Todd, Cincinnati, OH

A: "Todd, the decision to trade Wes Welker came
down to economics. The New England
Patriots made an offer to the restricted free agent Welker that the Dolphins
were not willing to pay to their No. 3 receiver. Without getting to technical,
the Dolphins actually made a good move in working out a deal to trade Welker to
New England, which gave the Dolphins an additional seventh-round draft pick to
go along with the second-round pick (they would have only gotten a 2nd without
the trade). One may ask why would the Patriots step up to pay Welker but not the
Dolphins...the answer is the Patriots saw great value in Welker being their
return guy as well as a perfect complement to Randy Moss and Donte'
Stallworth so they were willing to up the ante...good move by both teams.

I guess it doesnt matter, I just wanted to know again how that all went down

You see it as blatantly trashing the team.

I see it as me making an observation about our team without any bias. I look at what our team is good at, and the areas that we lack against what the opponents do well. There's nothing "Debbie Downer" about it. But because I'm a fan of the Dolphins, you see it as such.

I'm just damn good at seeing this team for what it really is, hence, my 5-11 prediction.

There isn't a good reason for this...some will talk of the "poison pill", but its a load of crap. If they would have given him a real deal before Welker got into FA, it never would have happened. Otheres say that, "he didn't want to play for Miami." That's crap also. He just wanted to get paid what he was worth. The real problem is that the FO didn't have a clue what talent he had or how to use it, and so didn't think he was worth what he really was...just another case of the Phins FO being idiots.

I always get surprised when fans "get into" the deal. Yea, the Patriots put a "poison pill" in the contract and yes we got a 2nd rounder which I think we wasted.

There is the one overwhelming fact that no one seems to want to admit to.

Wes Welker left BECAUSE OMG, HE REALLY REALLY WANTED TO GO AND BE ON A WINNING TEAM WITH A GREAT QB.

Wes Welker wanted to go, it was one of the happiest days of his life.
