With Boss and Miller going to other teams, I'm failing to see what big splashes we've made to improve WR/TE. Where are the moves? I'm not understanding how you expect to get better at TE by standing in quicksand. Are these guys seriously content with Fasano as the #1 TE? I was POSITIVE they'd make moves at TE. First time this offseason I'm truly disappointed.

Oh, I'm sure you're going to hear something about how Ireland has planned for this eventuality and we have promising practice squad players and all that. There will be talking up of that guy we drafted year before this one who was otherwise going to dentistry school. Fun times.

Not upgrading the TE position has been more puzzling to me than any other position besides QB and you can use more than one at a time unlike QB. It's been a need since 2009. I hope they see something in Clay that made this a mute point.

Fasano is a good blocker and reliable pair of hands, he's not an Antonio Gates but he wont hurt his team

I think they are really high on Clay as the playmaking seem threat mismatch TE and are going to work him in more than we think

Also Boss is the same type of TE as Fasano with not as good hands (a lot of my friends are Giants fans and say he had key big drops in games and dissapears) Also has an injury history

Also Zach Miller got a 5 year 34million dollar contract......

We don't have the cap room to sign Miller as well as address long term deals for current players. Boss, I wouldn't mind having him.

Help Henne by giving him weapons....fasano is a solid #2 TE but thats it...need a recieving threat-DUH

Yep. The TE is the QB's best friend. Give him a security blanket and make Fasano the #2 TE which instantly upgrades both TE spots. A lot of the best passing teams play a lot of 2 TE sets. We could never run that with guys like Hayn0s bumbling out there. Crap...

I read something saying that Dabol hates using double tight end sets and that he almost always uses one or no tight ends.

I'd rather see 4 wide sets than double TE sets. I want Marshall, Gates, Hartline and Bess on the field as much as possible.

I know they are not guaranteed a roster spot and may not offer the same as a veteran, but I am very excited about the prospects of Mickey Shuler and Brett Brackett. As a Penn State fan, I have seen these players in person play and I think they both have a chance to develop into quality pro tight ends. Especially Brackett.
